Sorry to have been away for so long, been having medical issues, but could someone tell me what happed to the group?DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint?

The Yahoo groups became unusable and when we moved to IO we decided to combine the color and BW ... so you are definitely in the right place.

Glad to hear you are doing well... Want to join a BW or color exchange, just post your interest here and Gary will fill you in.

Hi Keith.? I see that you are looking for the original Yahoo DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint group (where many of the discussions took place before and after Tom created the Yahoo digitalbw-printexchanges group in 2002).? I have looked for that group several times on Groups.io with no luck, which surprises me.? It seems they may not have made the transition from Yahoo Groups to Groups.io.? Perhaps they moved the group to some other online forum.? If you do find the reincarnation of the DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint Yahoo group on some other platform (or here on Groups.io), please let us know!

In the meantime, we would certainly welcome your participation again in one of our bi-monthly print exchanges (B&W, color or both)!

On a related note, I¡¯m a member of two other digital printing related groups on Groups.io (EpsonWideFormat and QuadToneRIP). Most of the topics discussed are specific to those printers or software, but occasionally there is a topic of wider interest to me, which is why I keep an eye on them. ?One recent topic on the EpsonWideFormat group might be of interest here. ?The original poster asked ¡°What does the printer driver actually do¡­..?¡± in the context of 16 bit to 8 bit conversions. ?The responses from Walter Blackwell and especially Roy Harrington (the developer of QuadTone RIP) were especially interesting and helpful.

Sorry, I didn¡¯t realize the Epson Wide Format group has limited seeing ¡°Archive¡± messages to Group members only. ?Here on our Print Exchange group non-members can see messages going all the way back to the beginning in 2002.
