Interest in another large print exchange?

In the past few months many of us have noted the challenges of storing both the regular and large size prints.
?
With that in mind, I like to get a sense of how many might participate in a large print exchange this year. We normally do the large print in the February/March, so I would be posting the sign-up for it in just a couple weeks.?
?
We will of course have a regular letter/A4 size print exchange in February/March.

HI Gary,

Please count me in for the large print exchange.

Also I don't want to upset anyone, but my solution to the storage is just to keep the great prints (IMO) and burn the rest including my own where they don't make the cut.
I probably keep 5 - 10%

Best,
Mike

I knew you'd be in for the large exchange Mike.? :-)
?
"Keep the best and burn the rest."? That's a motto my wife Kathleen would endorse, but I know I could never embrace it.? I'd better not let her hear about this or I might come home someday to find a bonfire of prints in progress.? :-(

Not for me, I am afraid. It is getting tougher to handle and store. If I change my mind, I will let you know

Cheers

Gary,
?
If its a 'go,' I'm in.? I've missed you guys!?
?
All the best,? Tom F.?

Thank you Tom OC!?
?
As the person who started the B&W print exchange in April 2002 and has participated in every exchange since then, no one has contributed and received more prints than you.? I don't know what your solution has been to the print storage issue, but your dedication to the print exchange has always been an inspiration to me.
?
Age wise, I'm almost a decade behind you.? With some luck, I hope to follow your example to make and share prints for many years to come.

I understand Jayanand.? I can't bring myself to do it, but perhaps Mike King's storage solution of keeping the best and burning or recycling the rest would work for you.
?
I always look forward to seeing your prints, especially in large exchange.? After I post the initial lists on February 1st, I won't be finalizing the Feb/Mar exchange lists until 15th.

Welcome back Tom F!? It will be GREAT to see prints from you again.? I'm sure you have taken/made alot of excellent and creative images since the last time you shared prints with us in the exchanges.? I imagine the hardest part for you will be selecting a few images to print and share.

Thanks for the shout out, Gary. I warn you that the 80s are tougher than the 70s :-)
?
I empathize with Jayanand's storage problem. I have a little closet that I put in shelves almost up to the ceiling and it is getting full!
?
I've started culling a bit. It's the only way you ever see any prints...going through boxes to cull :-). and Marianne is accusing me the fire danger (long before the LA fires). I wonder how flammable all the resin coated papers are? or the pure cotton rag ones?

New Year¡¯s greetings to all, and thank you, Gary, and the rest of you, for recent emails.?

I¡¯m just now catching up¡

I may have missed a beat, so clarification is needed: is the proposed ¡°large print¡± exchange the same as the previously proposed panorama exchange? I had expressed interest in the latter; though I could be tempted to do either (one or the other).?

Otherwise¡ªGary¡ªgetting images organized, ready for print, and off to you soon.?

Re what do to with the accumulated prints: I tend to sort through them periodically, and to create a ¡°favorite's¡± pile. But, as they are things of beauty, I have hesitated ¡°recycling¡± any, though I may have to, eventually. I have also ?informed friends and family that I have in possession a growing collection of ¡°fine¡± photographic prints (of a great many subjects!) for sharing and / or display, should there be interest! ?

Cheers,

Hi Josh.? My post was just to gage interest this year in the usual large print (sizes up to a maximum of A3 or 13x19 inches) which we've been doing in the February/March time period for many years.
?
With respect to an exchange of panoramic prints (which I think only you, Mike King and myself are interested in), I've been waiting to contact you and Mike once I knew if we would have a normal large print exchange this year.? It may be possible for you and Mike to include the panoramic prints for our exchange in with whatever box etc you and Mike would use to ship the "large" (A3/13x19) prints to me.
