#pcbgcode GCODE generation bug #pcbgcode

Hello, I think I have found a bug in PCB-GCODE V3.6.6

What is the best way to report this.

Running from Eagle 9.6.2, using pcb-gcode Setup, Isolation with Maximum set to 30, the gcode output starts missing paths when it touches the board edges.

I can supply test files and pictures of output.

Dissapointed I have not had any replies, so here is information on how to recreated the problem.
Board 75 x 50mm, 25th track 25mm in from each edge. GCode setup shown, using a 1mm cutter

Preview of tool path. Note the big blank area where copper is not removed. The tool path should cover all of the board.

Chilipeppr display showing the same information (just in case the viewer was not telling the truth)

Is the PCB-GCODE developer still active ? If anyone knows how to contact him please let him see this.

That’s an unusual application.?
What is your goal?
If you need to clear a large area, you could try a crosshatch, or draw lines on the milling layer, but using a cad program (or script) to generate the gcode might be the better solution.?

I don’t work on pcb-gcode much anymore. Lots of people find it useful, so it’s still available. Fixes and updates are few and far between these days.?

Regards,
JJ

JJ, thanks for your reply. This came about from a problem I encountered with a PCB that had a coin cell battery holder and a few other parts on it. I wanted to clear the spare around the holder so I set up isolation, but noticed an area that still had copper I was not expecting. Upon investigation I found what I thought was a bug. To demonstrate the problem I created a PCB with a single track then isolated the full board to demonstrate the ‘bug’. You are correct if all I wanted was a single track in the middle of a board Eagle and PCB-GCODE would probably not be the best solution.

?

If you have a bit of spare time, maybe you could look at the problem.

There do not seem to be any build instructions in the project, if they are there and I have missed them I apologise.

If I could build it and debug it I might be able to fix the ‘bug’ but I suspect it’s a bit of a steep learning curve and there is some complicated maths going on the generate the paths.

?

Regards - Steve
