RMS Gateway problem

Joe,

Please post your RMS Gateway problems to this yahoo group

Hi Basil, I'm getting a problem with the channels not being defined I
think it has to do with the fact that the schema files don't exist on
the net.
That's not the problem you are having.
The channel xml file should be in this directory /etc/rmsgw
Check the 'CHANNELFILE=' line in /etc/rmsgw/gateway.conf

Make sure the 'channel name =' config matches the port name you have
in /etc/ax25/axports
<channel name="udr0" type="ax25" active="yes">

My axports file:
#portname callsign speed paclen window
udr0 N7NIX-2 9600 255 2

Jan 27 21:43:48 albion1 rmsgw[2459]: ERROR: no channel data for port

Hi Basil, Thanks for the hint, I found that my channel was named 1 and not "radio" that got me to the next layer of the onion. It looks like it's getting a bit farther but not logging in at some point?

I wonder what password they are talking about? My login password to the gateway ??

Anyway I have been posting to the yahoo board but haven't got any replies in a few days.

Thank you for your help!

Best Regards,

Look in /etc/rmsgw/channels.xml for <password>

Following that should be your winlink password.
Try it all upper case.
