Pactor Activity 2
I have my old PacCOMM Pactor controller up and running. I need some help with where to find pactor activity, I remember there use to be some BBS activity and maybe some calling frequencies. Maybe there are some useful links where I could get started. I am located in Australia, any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks Bruce VK2RT

Heathkit HK-21 Pocket Packet
In case anyone needs the KISS rom for this TNC, I have the image. I also wrote an emulator for Linux for this TNC which completely emulates the hardware and runs the original binary image. You can get it from TNCEMU .

Eskay Packet or S.P. 6
Well, I've waited a long time to throw this out and see if I get a byte. I'm an old school packeteer still do as i have my station up with a vhf and hf gateway here in Athens Tn. I'm using SP a German program from back in the days of Dos. I know squat about programing and would love to run this program in windows but not compatible bummer. Anyone else fiddling with this program and anyone have ideas on getting an Ol dos program to operate in windows 10 ?

PacComm Tiny-2 8
I am trying to reprogram several Tiny-2's that were used for an APRS network (5 locations) where the owner is now SK. When I connect to the serial port and power up the TNC I don't get the Mfg splash and cmd: prompt. I do get the MYCall value of the SK on line 1 Line says UIDIGI v1.9 Beta 3 and then some copyright name. I can't seem to get a command prompt. Does anyone have any suggestions or experience with these devices? All the Youtube videos and manuals show on power up the Mfg splash and then the cmd: prompt Thanks in advance 73, Brian

PacComm Micropower-2 printer option
Hello, I was wondering if anyone where has any documentation or better yet a photo of the "Printer-Remote I/O" option that PacComm sold for the Micropower-2? I have not been able to find an early micropower specific technical manual online yet. Only the later ones that combine it with the Tiny2. The Tiny 2 doesn't show the intel parallel IC socket or header. Thanks Chris.

The First FlexNet32 Node in the USA is Up and Running!
For the enjoyment of the amateur radio packet community, I am pleased to announce the return of the Schooley Mountain NJ FlexNet Node. The node is an upgrade from an earlier DOS version to Windows. It is the first ever FlexNet32 Node to be put into service in the United States. The user port is WW2BSA-1 on 145.010 and can be accessed via the CMLBK node in PA as well as others in the area. Backbone ports WW2BSA-2 on 223.680 and WW2BSA-3 on 223.480. There is room for expansion. 6 and 10 meter ports are in the works. An additional 220 and/or UHF port is doable as well. New single, dual, tri-band and yagi beam antennas as well as new coax have been installed. Links and Routing tables still need to be updated. I have connected to the node externally multiple times on the bench and now in the field. Connections are working nicely. A report of the project is near completion and will be distributed this month. Packet radio about to get a bit more interesting! Prof. Chris Lance ww2bsa.org

WB4APR SK 2
It is with deep sadness that I notify this group that APRS creator Bob Bruninga WB4APR has passed away after a 2 year fight with cancer, as announced by his daughter. I had the distinct pleasure of meeting him many years ago before I was a ham at one of the ARRL Atlantic Conventions when he first introduced APRS. Old KAM (1989) Not holding messages 10
Hell-o Group, I recently picked up an old KAM, and have been running it through it paces on VHF. So far it seems to work fine with the exception that it does not save messages in the pbbs. When the power is cycled, the messages are gone. When I use the PERM command, any changes to parameters are kept just fine. The Version is 4.0. It does not have the extra board. I posted this on the NETWORK 105 page, and did get a few suggestions. One was on a new SRAM IC. I sent for one, but it will be on the slow boat from China! hi hi Does anyone have a KAM that may have run into this before? Maybe the SRAM is the fix, but I won't know until it gets here. 73, Ken W9GM

Old KAM (1989) Not holding messages-Fixed :)
Hell-o all. The Dallas SRAM listed in a post by Julian [M0IPU] on the NETWORK 105 group did the trick. Messages are being saved, even after external power is removed. I ended up ordering the chip off of e-Bay. Total cost with tax and shipping was only $8.17. It came from China. DS1244Y-120 1244Y-120 DIP-28 256K NV SRAM with Phantom... Thanks to everyone that responded with ideas. 73, Ken W9GM

Nino TNC 3
I bought 4 boards/cpu and enough parts to put two of them together. The kit is easy to assemble and you end up with a 1200b/9600b KISS usb tnc. It does regular packet and another mode. Supposed to be an improvement over AX25. I haven't hooked anything up to a radio yet so still experimenting. You can find it via google. I have the 3rd version of the tnc.. 73 Mike kb5wbh
