Hello All, anyone on here that is active on packet radio in North Georgia? I am active on VHF 2m FM packet radio and live in Metro Atlanta area, I can connect directly to KA4KKF-7 BBS/Node on 145.590 Mhz (Lawrenceville, GA area) from there I can connect to WB4QOJ-7 Node (Dallas, GA BBS,DX cluster,Chat) also I found a packet radio mailbox KK4YLX-1 on 145.790 (Cartersville, GA area) and KK4GQ-15 Fayetteville, GA digipeater that I can connect to also anyone else know of any active packet radio frequencies? I am experimenting on those 2 frequencies with a BPQ32 node KE4QCM-7 (BBS, Chat) and KE4QCM-1 packet radio mailbox and trying to get a packet cluster to work also Thomas Fuller KE4QCM Stone Mountain, GA tomfuller56 at gmail.com

On the fence
Thanks for allowing me to come aboard. I was in packet with DOS back in the days before APRS and I shed real tears when the last digipeter came down. I tried APRS for awhile, even owned a TM 710 for awhile. But so few ever responded to comments or questions. Done anyone have any experience suggestions with the FTM-Yaesu 400XDR? It seems easier to message than it was with the Kenwood. But I'm wondering if anyone has tried it on straight packet. I live in the southeast corner of Arkansas, in what's known as the silent south. Any suggestions, comments? 73 de Scott/n7net
