April meeting
Here is the April plans. Bring your bike, scooter, or whatever your scout has with wheels and the protective gear! If they don't have anything, no worries, we can work with them! FYI swimming might change to next month. Working with Mrs. Lively so the scouts can get their swimming test done at the same time, and doing it on a Monday night instead of a weekend. More to come. Scouting for food update 4
Good Afternoon Pack 60, After leaderhop discussing, we made a slight change in plans for this weekend. Due to potential for rain and thunderstorms on Saturday (and we know how Nebraska likes to mess with us), we are going to push scouting for food back to Sunday 5/30. We will meet in the hobby lobby parking lot off 72nd and Cornhusker at 3p to work on passing out flyers. All chances of rain will be out of the area by 12 on Sunday. Thank you very much and we will see everyone then. Amy Herod

Scouting for Food 2
Good Afternoon Pack 60, We have the start of Scouting for Food this Saturday, March 29th. We will meet in the hobby lobby parking lot, North of 72nd and Cornhusker at 9a. We have alot of territory to cover so all hands on deck would be appreciated. This will be done in conjunction with the Troop as well. Will discuss the maps and pass out the flyers to put on doors for our designated areas. We will repeat this on Saturday April 5th as we go around and collect the donations. We will again meet at hobby lobby at 9a. Please make sure to wear comfortable shoes as you will be walking quite a bit, as well as class B shirt (don't have to wear your class A's). You can also bring friends to help, more hands makes light work. Just a reminder, I won't be there this weekend, as I will be at Wood Badge training. As always, if you have any questions, feel free to reach out to myself or Mrs Lively. Thanks and we will see everyone on Saturday. Yours in Scouting, Amy Herod

Mondays meeting postponed
I am sorry, but I have to cancel our Monday Feb 10th meeting. I have to take my son to 9th grade information night, and we have another leader that has another commitment that night as well. With limit leaders being able to make it, I don't want to put that burden on Corey to try to get the scouts completed. We will move this meeting agenda to our planning meeting in March so the scouts can still earn their Technology adventure. Amy Herod

Information on Membership Renewal 5
I assume you all got this email from Council, but just in case I'm forwarding it on. DO NOT do anything with any renewal emails you receive from National, ignore them. Our council takes care of the renewing for all scouts. Amy ---------- Forwarded message --------- From: Mid-America Council, BSA <mac@...> Date: Mon, Nov 4, 2024, 11:19 AM Subject: Information on Membership Renewal To: <amy.herod@...> SCOUTING FAMILIES ~ It is likely that over the weekend many of you who have a membership expiration between now and the end of the year received a friendly reminder from the National organization that your annual BSA Membership will expire before the end of the year. Because we at the Mid-America Council decided to keep our prorated fees structure for new members, our membership renewal looks different. YOU DO NOT NEED TO TAKE ANY ACTION ON THE EMAIL. PLEASE DO NOT USE THE LINK THAT WAS PROVIDED IN THE EMAIL TO RENEW YOUR MEMBERSHIP. Your membership will be paid through your unit and we at the Mid-America Council will ensure it is processed through National before your expiration. You will continue to receive these emails from the National organization, approximately every 30-days, until we complete your Membership Renewal through our office in December. The Mid-America is using an alternative method of membership renewal and it is done through your unit and through our own membership renewal process. Should you have any questions regarding this, please reach out to your unit leadership. White elephant
The Cubs would like to do a white elephant gifts exchange. We did this last year and they had a lot of fun with it. If siblings want to join in, that would be fine as well. We will be doing this on Dec 16 pack meeting. We set a limit of $10. As scouts enter, they will be given one half of a ticket. We will draw tickets for the order they get to choose a gift. Unlike whot elephant, we will not take a gift from someone, as they younger kids don't understand this that well. At the end, of they want to swap gifts, and both are in agreement, that is allowed. This will be the last half of thatmeeting, the first half will be the Race Time adventure. Amy Herod
