Public sidewalk session Thursday Oct 6 at Ogilvie rd Chapters (weather permitting)

 

Hello all,

Weather permitting, please join us on the parking lot outside Chapters (2401 City Park Dr, Ottawa) for a free public observing session. ?This Thursday October 6 from 7pm to 10pm. ?This invitation is for anyone interested, with or without telescope!

Friday October 7 is also a possibility pending weather and volunteers availability.

Hopefully it will improve. ?Chapters closes at 8pm earlier in the week, so it means possibly not many visitors. ?But it stays open until 10pm Thursday and Friday. ?I would be up for it Saturday too.

A quick update that my availability for doing sidewalk astronomy setups at Chapters would be this Thursday, Saturday and possibly Sunday.

Scope volunteers, please let me know when you would be interested in joining. ?Just so that I get an idea how much room we¡¯ll need on the parking lot.

Hi guys!

The weather doesn¡¯t look very promising for tomorrow night but I¡¯ll post a go or no go tomorrow between noon and 1pm.

My next opportunity to organize a sidewalk session would be Saturday night. ?Fingers crossed for clear skies!

And yes I agree it¡¯s been a long time and my scope is likely quite dusty.

I may be able to show up this evening, but the aviation forecasts are not looking promising, though the high clouds may thin out around 8pm. But I may arrive a bit late as there¡¯s a Falcon 9 launch this evening just after 7pm and I may be doing an online watch party for it on Twitch (). I could make Saturday evening. I¡¯m having Thanksgiving dinner with my parents on Sunday.
