I just wanted to wish everyone the best of luck with catching the solar eclipse, whether you are travelling to the totality or hoping to catch a great deep partial from Ottawa!
Denis Legault and I are in Sherbrooke, looking forward to a great show this afternoon! ?Not that I do not have access to my regular email address at the moment.
Allan Rahill (retired CMC meteorologist and amateur astronomer) just wrote an update after many people asked him where the cirrus clouds will be located ahead of the eclipse. ?He recommends setting up somewhere between Sherbrooke and Mont Megantic to give the best prospects. ?But don¡¯t give up where ever you are. ?Any spot could have a lucky break between clouds even if it looks less favorable.
