Hello Jim,

Thé summer has been very busy for me as well, and a bit jammed in home renos, and I’ve been unable to attend the gabfests lately. ?Why don’t we go back to having the in person gabfests at the usual Tim Hortons on Innes (near the old Costco)? ?I think that works a little better for those coming off the Queensway as the Tim’s is near the on and off ramps. ?Traditionally the gabfests have always been slower in the summer with many people being away and then they pick up in the Fall. ?I am sure that people would still like to meet up. ?I know that many are feeling ? zoomed out ? or had too much screen time. ?Possibly we are also feeling a little stuck in a rut (socially) after it’s been so long.

So my vote: ?Gabfest tonight at Tim Hortons on Innes across from Cyrville (near the old Costco).

Are people still attending these online Gabfests?? I am too busy in the summertime to participate but the meeting can run without me ... I think.? What is the level of interest in moving to in-person meetings?? I am getting absolutely no feedback from the group on this, so I am wondering if the Gabfests are dead or not.

Good morning

This Friday August 19^th is our next scheduled? RASC Star gazing event at the Carp library parking lot. Although it is a RASC event, anyone may attend and set up a telescope to share telescopic views ( including non-RASC members) and all members of the public are welcome.

As of today the weather looks good but the final go-no go will be made here, in the Meet up group and on the Facebook page.

If you may be willing to attend please send me a quick email so I know someone will be there!?

Sorry.... I missed the gabfest as well. ?It's been a busy past number of days with home projects. ?I'd really love to get back into in-person gabfests, just like the old days. ?Although I live in Orleans, I don't mind the Walkley road location if it is easier and a little more central to most. ?There is also a Harvey's close by for supper before going to Tim's.

Not sure if anything happened last night in terms of a Gabfest.? I was busy packing for a 3 day canoe trip this weekend so I was not available to attend.

Is there a consensus on changing to an in-person Gabfest, and if so what location?
