From Clem KH7HO, David Lopez, Critical Infrastructure Planner and Acting Branch Chief for Planning and Preparedness at HI-EMA, will be the speaker for the November 25, 2019 DEM RACES meeting. He will be at the DEM EOC at 6:15 p.m. His presentation will take the whole meeting. His presentation will be what would happened if a category 3 and above Hurricane would hit Hawaii and what the cascading effects would be to Hawaii. I highly recommend all DEM RACES members attend and learn from David’s very interesting and educational presentation. I heard him speak twice and as DEM RACES members will learn how we need to be better prepared. Notice: the groups DEM-RACES and OahuRACES have moved to groups.io.

No RACES meeting this month because of the holidays. Next meeting is Monday Jan. 27, 2020 at 6 p.m. Tentative topic is a table top exercise. More information to follow.
