His presentation will be what would happened if a category 3 and above Hurricane would hit Hawaii and what the cascading effects would be to Hawaii. ?I highly recommend all DEM RACES members attend and learn from David’s very interesting and educational presentation. ?I heard him speak twice and as DEM RACES members will learn how we need to be better prepared.

The public health response is multi-layered, with the goal of detecting and minimizing COVID-19.?While there are no cases of COVID-19 identified in Hawaii at
this time, state health officials do expect to eventually identify cases in Hawaii because this is a global health threat to our entire nation. At this time, the imminent threat here in Hawaii is low. Nevertheless, state and county agencies are intensifying
their preparations.
The Department of Health is advising people to take steps now to prepare should the risk of community spread increase.
Prepare a family plan should there be a COVID-19 outbreak in Hawaii. A family plan worksheet can be downloaded from:

HDOH has been advising the public, since the beginning, to call their healthcare professionals for phone screening when they have symptoms, and not go in to the office unless so advised.? At age 65 & beyond, immune function decreases and people are more susceptible to viral illness. COVID-19 is especially lethal to those older age groups. ?Obviously, it’s even worse with multiple medical problems (diabetes, respiratory disease & cardiac disease, for example)... and for those at any age who already have compromised immune systems. We need to be in solidarity with pushing back against this virus. Get your flu shot. Wash your hands. Cover coughs & sneezes. If you do sneeze, conduct surface cleaning to disinfect the six-foot area around you. If you’re in a risk category, stay away from crowded places & otherwise keep the 6-foot social distance.? Please use HDOH, CDC & WHO as your information sources. Anything else is subject to interpretation and the message can be misconstrued. I would check with your Section Manager for direction and talk to your?health department before considering any actions. I am also copying ARRL HQ staff who are responsible for administering the ARES program, and your League officials for any additional recommendations or policies.

Here's an update regarding the above subject.
Pacific Woolen can do the following:
1. ?Install spiders (reinforced holes) and velcro on the epaulets of your shirts. ?This will do two things: 1. ?Prevent damage of the epaulet material from repetitive rank application; and 2. The velcro will keep the epaulets from sticking up and arching. ?The cost is about $10.00.
2. ?Hem up your sleeves if they fall more than an inch or two below your elbow (to make it look more professional). The cost for this is approximately $15.
Other alterations (e.g., taking the sides in) are also authorized, but I have no cost estimate for that at this time. ?
Please pass this on to your personnel.

malware and spyware it can plant on a user's computer. And a not so
friendly nation has obtained the encryption keys to that application.
If you use Zoom on a particular device, try not to use that same
device for online banking or credit card purchase.

Not sure when you got this as we did look at issues and zoom has made multiple updates.
One of the biggest users is the Dept of Homeland Security.
The problem you have mentioned I believe was from a January posting. Zoom has had multiple updates since then and is used by state agencies as well as the C&C Honolulu. We are using a paid for version and not the free version.
