Knighton Spinney will be open this Easter Sunday from 10am –
1pm? (normally the opening time is 12 noon to 3pm). The Spinney has been
very popular this season , with 121 people visiting on one Sunday in
March!

Just a reminder that Knighton Spinney – that delightful
natural woodland in Knighton Park – is open this Sunday from 12 noon until 3pm.
The weather forecast looks good, so if you’ve never visited the Spinney before,
this is a good time to come and enjoy a stroll through the woodland. There is a
good path through the Spinney, suitable for pushchairs and wheel chairs, but
cycles and dogs are not permitted.

This is primarily a Spanish Conversation class and we are a small, very
friendly mixed group in our 2nd year and have a fantastic Spanish
tutor who makes it great fun, is patient and covers a variety of topics.? We are in need of a couple more people to

Hi all

Just an update on how our group is progressing. We now have 14
members, though so far not much activity! Our problem now is to let people know
we exist, so if you know other people who you think would like to join in, just
get them to go to , enter
oadbywigstonknighton in the search box, and follow the instructions to
join.

I am the editor of the Friends of Knighton Park newsletter,
and in the next issue due out in March, I have advertised our existence, so this
may bring in more people.

If you wish to see past messages, you have only to go to the
website, log on with your email and there is an archive there of all messages in
the group.

Knighton Park is beginning to burst into life now – the
snowdrops and crocuses are in flower, so well worth a visit – but take an
umbrella!

Our group now has 8 members, but be patient, and please don’t
hesitate to start using it just as you would have done with Streetlife. These
are early days, but hopefully we can attract more members as time goes
on.

Just a note? that Knighton Spinney in Knighton Park
reopens for the season on Sunday, 12th March (from 12 noon – 3pm). This is a
nature reserve, and well worth visiting when you’re in the park. We have three
volunteer wardens, which enables us to open three Sundays out of four, but we
are looking for at least one more volunteer to enable us to open every week in
the Summer.
