Aplogies if you've seen this elsewhere but this is a home forum for many Review readers.

Issue 108 has been sent to the printers. Despatch to UK subscribers should occur mid October. EU and 'Rest of World' copies go out from the mailing facilitator as soon as the minimum economic number of items is reached - but those furthest away from the UK should have their copies within the next 3-4 weeks.

Contents:
  • Woolacombe Bay - Large scale modelling by Franck Combe (7/8ths)
  • Stanley - Mark & Angela Fry describe a loco metamorphosis (prototype)
  • Modelling the Southwold Railway - The creative layouts of Stewart Green (4mm and 2mm scale)
  • Robert Hudson Bogie Wagon - Archive drawing
  • Four East Midlands Ironstone Tramways - Part 3 – Wellingborough by Dan Quine (prototype)
  • Photography Diorama - Described by Nick Brown (7mm)
  • Crochat PE Tractor – Ingenious drive system in O14 by Bernard Marchand
  • Finishing the Peckett - OO9 kit by Alex Duckworth
Plus product and book reviews, readers letters and Jottings.

Subscriptions and renewals can be ordered here:

Thanks everyone for the delivery updates. It took 4 days to the UK, 22 days to get to the EU, 30 days to Australia, 32 to NZ and 35 to the USA. As Roy has stated delivery is via a mail facilitator and timescales are very much dependent on them achieving a full load with other magazines etc. If we didn’t use a facilitator it simply wouldn’t be economic to mail around the world. And it should be noted the prices have not changed for 5 years!

We will perhaps reset the despatch expectations for issue 109.

Regards
John

Dear John:

I am grateful to Roy Link and you for keeping the magazine alive.? If it takes a little longer to get here than it once did, so what?? It's not a matter of life and death, at least not for me.? And when it gets here, it will be as always a great source of pleasure.

Regards,
William Bryk

A postal employee snuck a copy into another NZ letterbox this afternoon. Glad to see the Wellingborough article doesn’t include drawings of the wagons, so I can probably keep resisting the temptation to model them a bit longer….
