Hollywood Foundry Chassis

Has anyone used a chassis from Hollywood Foundry for 14mm gauge? If so what back to back and flange thickness did you choose?

Roy's standards really require a flange thickness of 0.6mm. The RP 25 offerings seem to be greater than this.

Hi Micheal

I have many locos running on BullAnt chassis and cannot recommend them highly enough.? I usually opt for belt drive and the result is quiet, smooth running and powerful.? The back-to-back I use is Roy's 12.4 to 12.5mm.

Geoff has recently had an operation so check with the Hollywood site to see if he has started accepting orders again.

You can see my locos with BullAnt chassis on the Rhyd website, , or the link from Rhyd’s page in the Hall of Fame section of the Wiki.

Cheers

Hi Michael,

In my experience RP25 wheels work fine for O14. I also think they are pretty close to prototype when compared to the ScaleSeven standard guage profile:?wiki/Resources%3A-RP25-%26-ScaleSeven-Wheel-Comparison?- although of course narrow gauge profiles were anything but standard.

Is there any news about Geoff at Hollywood foundry? I don't want to pester him if he is still recovering.
