Re: Chambery tramways
开云体育DavidThere is a brief mention in Davies - Tramways de Savoie, latterly CFDIL de Savoie, four roadside lines radiating from Chamberey, opened 1892, tried petrol-electric railcars, closed 1932 and replaced by trolleybus. - and that's it! Re: Crochat railcars
开云体育Hi DavidIn WJK Davies “Minor Railways of France”, p249 there are plans for the 4w Crochat car for Twys Pithvier-Toury, which I think is now preserved. Same author’s “Light Railway Railcar in Western Europe”, p57-60 has drawings for several Crochat cars, 4& 8w, for 60cm and metre gauge. Hope this helps Allan Dare On 15 Mar 2020, at 12:18, David Massingham <ezeebob@...> wrote:

Re: Old Namibian 600mm railways
Thanks for that Mario. I had a look. No photos of what I was looking for but interesting photos nonetheless.? David On Tue, 10 Mar 2020, 23:10 Mario Bernkopf, <bernkopf.mario@...> wrote:

Re: Old Namibian 600mm railways
Hi David,
The university of Frankfurt has a collection of photographs about Namibian railways during German colonial times. Just go to click on the British flag and enter "namibia" in the first field from the top, and "eisenbahn" in the second. Beefing up your German might help. Best regards, Mario Nérac, France |
Re: Old Namibian 600mm railways
A good starting point would be Namib Narrow-Gauge by Sydney M Moir and H T Crittenden ISBN 0 620 05915 X hope this helps.
