if
you are trying to take the glue off a brass or white metal try brake fluid.
submerge the bits in it and within 24 hours the glue is gone. Marc

Re: Introduction
Hi John,
Absolutely no objections to that, if you deem it worthy! I'm not sure how to create a sub-page, but I can edit it and add photos once a page is created for it. (I don't want to use my usual trial and error method of working these things out in case I mess the whole thing up!) David |

Re: Super Glue
开云体育Do you want to actually dissolve the glue, or to?remove it from an item? Warm soapy water is what they seem to?use in hospitals. It doesn't dissolve the CA per se, but it appears to?break down the bond with whatever the glue is sticking to; flesh in the case of hospitals, but the principle works well on any flexible surface including thinner styrene.?A stiff brush?ought to help. I've tried abrasives papers or sticks on white metal, and they just smear the darned stuff further, as with epoxy,?although gentle persuasion with a sharp knife prises it off some surfaces like brass because CA is quite friable (which is?why flexing also helps clear it). Re: 014 & 7mm NGA at Burton
开云体育Please excuse the heresy but my O14 layout isn’t ready for this year’s show so I have been asked to take my O16.5 layout ‘Ashcross Industrial Museum’, partly as I think there aren’t many O16.5 layouts booked yet and it would be nice to have a bit of gauge variety. ? I will be flying the O14 flag in 2019! ? Cheers, ? Robin |

Some of these were on NGRM but thought I would try them here.?
Now just six weeks into the build of my Worsley set.? First advantage spotted over NGRM - photos go straight in not via Flickr. But they look rather large!? |

Re: Looking good! Many thanks
Wow. What a difference this is. Sadly yahoo took a sudden nosedive when it was rejigged and never recovered. I think this will not only provide a stable platform but will enliven the group and rekindle some messaging.?
We now have a selection box of Facebook groups and the NGRM group but this is really the only truly finescale 7mm Narrow gauge group that I know if and us useable once more.? Congratulations Mr IT Wizzard John.? |

Re: 014 & 7mm NGA at Burton
Hi All,?
I'm the Exhibition organiser for the annual 7mmNGA show at Burton - if you are intending to bring something (i.e. layout, demonstration etc.) to the show, please can you get in touch with me via exhibition@...?- I want to make sure that we can fit everyone in! Thanks,? Neil |

Introduction
Hi all,
This is my first time using a group, yahoo or otherwise, so please bear with me while I get the hang of it! I'm modelling mostly industrial diesels for my Abbey Light Railway layout, which is currently on the exhibition circuit. At the moment the current project is a 10hp McEwan Pratt, built entirely from scratch, rather than sensibly waiting until I can get hold of a KBscale kit! Hopefully (maybe?) Photo attached. I'll be at the 7mmNGA agm at Burton with the ALR, so hopefully see many of you there! Regards, David Malton |

Re: 014 & 7mm NGA at Burton
Hi All
I've created a wiki page for the list of layouts and demos:?/g/o14/wiki/O14-at-7mm-NGA-2018 Please can you all add and correct as necessary - it will also be a good test of the wiki facilities John |
