14mm gauge 'Busy Bee'

G'day all,
Has anyone tried converting, or building a new chassis for, the Branchlines
Manning Wardle 0-4-0ST 'Busy Bee' kit?
Is anyone interested in an etched chassis kit to make the conversion?

Just spotted this group being started. I'm in England, more to the
point God's own county, which in this case means Yorkshire.
I'm modelling Welsh narrow gauge, basically Festiniog Railway with
attachments from two other now long abandoned lines, the Croesor
Tramway and the Gorseddau Tramway, and any other bits I come across
and fancy building. I'm on DCC, using the Austrian Zimo system. At
the moment I'm building loco's and rolling stock, but hope to get
somewhere to run it all at least to a baseboard state by this time
next year. I have a fairly (or should that be Fairlie) extensive
library of books on Welsh N.G. so if anyone needs some info I might
be able to help.

Frank

Welcome from the Moderator

G'day Everyone,
Welcome!
We currently have 9 members. Thankyou all very much for joining.
I have set the messages so all members can post unmoderated. Attachments are
stripped as not everyone has a broadband connection.
Please bare with me if there are any problems, Yahoo isn't the simplest tool
to use, and I am relatively inexperienced.

I have set up a database for listing available locomotives, feel free to add
any that you know about. There is only one entry at the moment, because I
haven't gotten around to listing any more.
A similar rollingstock list will be set up soon too.

The links section has a few links of suppliers and yahoo groups. Please add
any you consider relevent to O-14 modelling.

The files section will be useful for posting track standards, diagrams, any
information you consider valuable. There will be no naming conventions, but
please refrain from having spaces in filenames as they can cause problems
with yahoo.
Use the photos section if you have small photos that don't require detailed
viewing. Otherwise, post in the files section so we can all see the complete
picture.

Have fun,

Here is a photo that might make a nice backdrop for a small hard rock mining scene.

Looks like fun. I have subscribed to the NG and Industrial Railway
Review for a long time and have a complete set. I admire the 7mm 2
foot layouts and components that Roy Link offers and still
think "some day". In the interim, I am always up for good NG modeling
and techniques.
