Re: PLR on the move
开云体育You have my sympathy John; we move on Monday after 32 years in the same house, and it’s chaos! But, there’s then a whole new railway room to look forward to, with enough space for a decent sized layout at long last.Hope it all goes well Allan Dare On 28 Nov 2020, at 15:13, Robin Edwards <robinglos@...> wrote:

开云体育Good luck with the move John, I don’t envy you having to pack up and sort everything out.? Although in my case it would be a chance to find all those bits that I have somehow mislaid by putting them in ‘a safe place’! ? Robin ? From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]]

I've just added some photos of it before dismantling on my blog??and will update this as packing and moving progresses. |

开云体育Good to see the entire native habitat of the PLR! Not envious of the move, though, I’ve got a serious accumulation in the basement… David Woodhead, Toronto?

开云体育Happy Birthday to us! ? Hope you all celebrate in an appropriate fashion, I have restarted another dormant project.? I have to admit that a benefit of lockdown for me has been the opportunity to finish a few locos.? The down side is that I haven’t been able to run them as Tony’s Forest really only gets put up at exhibitions. ? Cheers, ? Robin ? From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]]

Re: Roy C Link - RIP
Very sad news. I have every issue of the Review and provided lettering for the station on the outdoor Copper Beech line.

开云体育This is truly sad news - several of us here in Canada are great admirers of Roy, his approach, and the Review. He has certainly left an enduring legacy. David Woodhead Toronto, Canada

Re: Roy C Link - RIP
Deeply saddened to hear this. It was Roy's inspirational writing and his RCL range that helped steer me in the direction of narrow gauge when I returned to the hobby in my 30s. Rest in peace and condolences to his family and friends.?

Re: Roy C Link - RIP
开云体育A loss indeed. Though I never spoke to him directly I would often see him at expong and his work and words through the years has always been a delight, while his name linked to anything would be an indicator of excellence. Condolences to his family and to those who knew him personally. He was one of the best.Robert? On 21 Nov 2020, at 13:03, Robin Edwards <robinglos@...> wrote:

开云体育A great loss to our hobby.? Roy has been an inspiration to me from the 1970’s and has always been very helpful and indulgent of my average modelling.? My sincere condolences and deepest sympathy to his family and friends.? This must be a really difficult time, made harder by the continued lockdown in England. ? Roy C Link - RIP
Friends,
New has just reached me that Roy C Link died yesterday. At present I have no further details, though his friends knew that Roy had not been in the best of health for several years. We have lost an irreplaceable talent and, for many of us, an irreplaceable friend. Adrian Gray Chairman, 7mm NGA |
