Speak for yourself Frank... about 10:15 for me, and that allows five minutes to park :-)

Cheers,
Andrew

Re: group wiki

Hi everybody,?
Well I managed to login ok and I must say everything looks really excellent.

Re: Looking good! Many thanks

100% support the decision to move. Have been on some of the groups since they were groups before Yahoo got involved and they¡¯d had their day.

its been a while since I¡¯d been able to see anything on the groups other than what I received in emails so it¡¯s great to gain access again to all the resources and photos etc.

cheers,
Andrew

Re: Moving to Groups.io

Github isn't a? feature of? groups.io.? It is a central repository of program code used by collaborative computer types.? It's based on a version control system called git.? Presumably that term meant nothing special to the linux developers of the time...

Re: KB Scale

Richard tends to batten down the hatches when he has too much on his plate... KBScale takes last place.

I have made a simple start on a group wiki which can be found here:wiki.?If possible we will move a lot of the o14 group material here - probably into dedicate sections and pages.??

Please feel free to contribute, although please ask the moderators (via a post on this thread) before doing any major structural changes.?

Well hopefully everything is here. We've lost a few bouncing email addresses and some people who have forgotten they subscribed are likely to leave us.

Yes I broadened the scope a bit more which I think reflects the general membership views - a focus on finescale 7mm NG but not exclusively so, and certainly not exclusively 14mm.

Turnouts

Though I have access to a very able builder of trackwork in the shape of John Clutterbuck, it has always been a bit of a bugbear to me that while modelling in O14 I've yet to produce a decent turnout of my own. Usually it is the crossing that I get too tight, or I give up on the blades. I'll persist, but I wonder if anyone has experience of taking a commercial kit, say C+L Finescale, and re-gauging it? Or am I being na?ve in thinking it could be that straightforward?

1000% better. I really like the 0-21 bit on the front piece. As my next layout will be 0-21
