Re: 014 & 7mm NGA at Burton

I am very much looking forward to seeing your Blanche and any other stock. You will enter her into the competition I hope. Paul Martin will cringe but we could double head with his favourite Lyd...
Is your Blanche DC or chipped?
I have returned my formal invitation and asked for a 6x2 table. I aim to do some soldered kit construction and will mount a display of FfWHR stock. My 1876 train will be finished.
Meanwhile, for 2019, it has been confirmed that I will he flying the finescale flag with my 17.5mm Gauge L&M layout ably assisted by John.

Re: Moving to Groups.io

Yes, please move out of Yahoo. I'm accessing the group via the web.

I find it confidence-inspiring that the new groups.io has been developed by Mark Fletcher, who was also the creator of the Yahoo Group system. We all liked Yahoo Groups, until Yahoo started changing it after Mark was no longer involved. Resulting in the mess we now find ourselves in. So: Move? Hear, hear!

Re: Moving to Groups.io

I agree with the move to Groups IO. I have really struggled with Yahoo recently and the move looks to be in the right direction. I usually read my group messages in digest form on my email but that is mainly due to my problems with getting Yahoo to work.?

Cheers,

Robin

I am having trouble with Yahoo today, but I use for some other model trains groups. I like it myself and find it easy to navigate.

I guess I'm in, then! The little I'm bringing I may want to enter in one of the competitions, but at least it/they'll be O14.

Thanks to David there now seems to be some momentum to the planned O14 presence at the 7mmNGA in June and I know some of us are getting formal invites (I declined doing a trade stand as NG&I).

I plan to take my quarry board which is about 4ft x 2.5ft and has a self contained industrial layout and the surrounding loop which bigger locos can trundle back and forth. I could probably fit it on the end of a table (or on a side table as an L) with other stuff to demonstrate/natter about.

Paul H said he can bring some FR/WHR stuff - so he could share my table and I'm sure David H will accompany me too.

Who else is definitely going?

Re: Moving to Groups.io

I heartily agree John - move to Groups iO!

Even getting in to the Yahoo site these days is a rigmarole and a pain.? I generally read posts via the email daily digest, but if I decide to log in to Yahoo to look at a photo or whatever there is a 50% chance that the dreaded Y won't let me in.

See you on the other side!
