RE-10m packet

I was up on 10m and tried calling each one? of the stations that had planned on going up there. No success.? I did hear a Canadian station, think it was in the ve2 neck 'O the woods, tried him but was unable to connect. I saw another station K0OG, Joe running a qrp Yaesu, ie, 5 watts or so. We had a? QSO, then a bit later our path dropped out around 1900? Z.

28.105 was where I got my start in Packet in the late 80's. I am sure there are some who did the same.? I used to connect to a JA prefix BBS at times years ago, and digied thru east coast stations to work? DL's.? Last week, 10m opened up a bit early. 10m tends to open up later, like in Nov.? fairly consistently, then drops off as we get farther into spring. There are days during the winter when it can be dead, but many contacts can be made often in the winter mo.? Here in Idaho early afternoon hrs lately have been the best for me.? I? access an RP node much of the winter months located in KY.

Last week on 10m I? made some cw DX contacts to DL's, ZL's, a JA, and an EB1. Then on 30m an OH1 on 10.109 cw, all with the GAP antenna. The Band has? opened up, and hopefully for a while.

Been listening on 28105 1700c 300b LSB for couple of days now and here in PA have only seen decodes for K4RVA and KF5QEK.
