Re: issues with FLRIG and FLMSG
My apologies for the delay, I have been out of town. First: - FLRIG will terminate?abnormally even when I am only receivikng - CAT control works stably with hamlib, Win;link Packet/soundmodem, Wink?HF VARA, and WSJTX It does not sound like RF. I have PTT performed by FLRIG. I have: - IC-7000 - Signallink - FLDIGI 4.2.04.00 - FLRIG 2.0.05 As to resetting the transceiver filter configuration: - this occurs?only with FLRIG, not with any other software The data I Have suggests the issues are with FLRIG, but I am unable to effectively?debug further?without some guidance. I have used FLDIGI?for perhaps?10 years but always with hamlib.? We now need finer filter control and hamlib does not?provide this support in FLDIGI. Thanks for your help! Re: does the CM108 PTT functiopnality work with te Windoes Version of FLDIGI?
Don
I have been using DRA sound cards and Fldigi (mostly on 2m FM Icom and Kwnd rigs) using the C-Media RA adapter for PTT. However, I have found “redundancy” for PTT in Fldigi is not good; that is, do not also select PTT via a CAT port, and likewise do not select PTT via a hardware RTS com port. In certain radios, watch out for that RTS/CTS option (Yaesu rigs). If you are having problems using the Fldigi and RA adapter option for PTT, are you also using some other program for “rig control” like WSJT-X or Winlink VARA, or a logging app? It could be the typical “COM port conflict” issue even though RA adapter is not a COM port. And remember that the DRA sound cards are STEREO, but Flidig normally just sends TX audio (mono) to the LEFT channel. DRA sound cards expect the TX audio to be on the RIGHT channel (jumper settings in the sound card). In Fldigi, select under the RIGHT channel: put TX audio on BOTH left and right. I also disable the VOX in the DRA sound cards - more jumpers to disable. What specific radio and which DRA sound card? de k3eui barry |

Re: flamp 2.2.11.14 development version posted
开云体育Flamp 2.2.11.14 fixed the compatibility issue with 2.2.11 and the file is readable when I use compression. Thanks for the fix.The other thing I noticed is when I added the file to Flamp I didn't receive the message that recommended compression. That makes sense because it was a small file. 73, Ron NY3J On 4/9/2024 6:21 PM, Dave wrote:

Re: Flamp 2.2.11.13
开云体育Robert,One of the local stations just did a test. We are finding out that if both stations are using 2.2.11.13 it works with compression. If the receiving station is an earlier version then it fails using compression. I know it doesn't make sense to use compression because it actually adds time to the transmission on a small file. But I think it's cool to send it that way. Also, it's good to keep in mind that for a real event everyone should use the stable version. 73, Ron NY3J On 4/8/2024 7:48 PM, Ron NY3J via

Ron, Tested a compressed checked file locally using audio record/playback from FLDIGI and it decoded fine. Can you please post the file in question and the parameters used. A better option is to post the relay version of the same file which will contain all the information I'm looking for. Look under the relay folder see if it was saved. The file name will be something like. "HHHH_original_file_name.ext", HHHH is a hexadecimal value which FLAMP uses to ID a specific file. Flamp 2.2.11.13
Using latest Alpha Flamp 2.2.11.13. If I send a short .txt file with Comp checked the receiving station receives it with no blocks reported with errors. The file opens up with the first word as {b64:start] and ends with [b64:end] and the information is still compressed and can't be read.
If I use Flamp 2.2.11 to send it the file opens and it can read. 73, Ron NY3J |
