Would anyone please recommend a good USA stocked Seller for NanoVNA
Sam,
If you don't mind paying a bit more for the device you can go through Amazon to get one. I purchased mine through Amazon and it came within 2 days. Shipping was free because I have a prime membership. It has the cal kit, battery, shielding, two cables and an SMA female to female barrel which was not very good. The vendor (AURSINC, $72..99) is out of stock until October 31 according to the Amazon web site. If it is listed as being available through the prime membership, they have US stock and can ship it to you. Here is one example I see at the moment for $79.97.. Amazon claims you could get it by Sunday, October 27. Here is another one showing a price of $61.99 that claims to be deliverable by Monday, October 28. Please be aware I have not purchased from either of these vendors. Read the ad carefully to make sure that what you want is included. Good luck. 73 -- Bryan, WA5VAH |

I purchased this one: I have been happy. Works well, is shielded, came with calibration kit & cables. It is more expensive than others but I received it in about 5 days and Amazon would take it back if there was a problem. Hope this helps. Nooelec are authorized by edy555, the original creator of the NanoVNA, to resell the device: I believe they are USA based and stocked. -- Rune / 5Q5R On Fri, 25 Oct 2019 at 04:34, Sam Reaves <sam.reaves@...> wrote:

I unwittingly purchased 2 from different sources several months ago and only one had the shield which I think I got from China?
Looking at closeup pics from Hima @ Amazon it does not have shields ? The other one from stateside seller on FleaBay has no shield and the 3 way switch broke off because it sticks out further so be careful ! They both have different flavors of firmware but both seem to be close enough for my needs and are much easier to carry than my 8712ES lol Still want to compare them with the 8712 when I get some time. Also, measure the load, one of them was totally useless, but the seller sent replacement from China which was also useless. Good luck 73 N8AUM |

I ordered this one. An H model. Seems to be as good as they come but certainly not the cheapest.

I am skeptical that ordering from the same seller will insure you get a Nano from the same manufacturer. I ordered two Nanos days apart though Amazon from seller KKMoon, (a marketing name for a large Chinese conglomerate, I think). One looks to be a hugen original with shielded RF the other is a clone without shields. That said, both work and, the last time I looked in this group I didn't see where the shielding actually made a difference.

Noo is based in upstate NY I believe, or Michigan¡ (maybe both?)

Howdy Sam,
I ordered this one from US ebay seller lemontree017 in Kentucky. He shipped same day via USPS 1st Class mail and I received in 4 days to Texas. He has sold 119 units and 99.5% user rating. The unit I received is identical to the one NooElec is selling (but w/o the attenuators they add) and is ~$60. It's the one with blue PCB, T-handle rocker, soldered battery wires, no diode, and snap-in shields. Of course, that is no guarantee you'd get the same one. 73, --kv5r |
Sam,
I know you asked for a USA stocked seller but I wanted to ensure you are aware that the NanoVNA-H is already shipping from Chinese sellers and it probably wont be long before USA resellers start carrying them. They are manufactured by hugen who was the first NanoVNA OEM. My NanoVNA-H cost $48.50 delivered from China. You should definitely consider purchasing it over the current NanoVNA's. Advantages: 1. Cost is not much more than the current NanoVNA's. I expect $48.50 from Chinese sellers should translate to approx. $60 or less from U.S. dealers. 2. The NanoVNA-H comes installed in a nice protective case (See attachment). Similar 3-D printed cases for the current NanoVNA sell for over $10.00 on eBay. 3. The marketing photos show that besides the usual two SMA cables and USB-C to USB-A cable, a USB-C to USB-C cable is included. 4. Whatever your opinion regarding their necessity, the 5.1 k USB-C resistors, battery voltage diode, and Port RF shields are in place. 5. Hugen usually delivers his units with the latest firmware located at his NanoVNA-H GitHub page at the time of shipping. From the marketing photo's, it appears the new battery status firmware is loaded. 6. Hugen's units are usually pre-calibrated and ready to use. 7. Hugen is a member of this board and usually makes time to respond to NanoVNA-H and NanoVNA-H ver 2.0 related questions. - Herb |
I ordered that one too, thinking that I'd have a better shopping experience w amazon if something went wrong. Nothing did. Nice product. Good quality unit as far as I can see, 50 ohm load is right on (Fluke 87). Battery uses plug, not solder. Shielded, very clean construction techniques...not sloppy at all.

Has operated well, upgraded firmware. Runs nanoSaver on Windows 10. I asked vendor a question; got prompt, brief, clear reply. However, the unit came w only 1 ea short, open, load, and I think that it really needs 2 sets to do a complete cal. I'm new to VNAs, so still checking this out. from the shack of NE1EE ~Rich~ On 2019-10-25 09:50:-0400, you wrote:
