Measuring swr

I'm using the nanovna with the PC program to measure swr.? ?
On a whim I loaded the Android app to see if it would do the same, but it does not have an swr setting.? ?
Does the webapp do swr?? Or is there an Android app the does swr?

Thanks,Mike de N5BGZ

Actually, the web app DOES have SWR if you know where to set it up...
Press the small + at the lower right corner and select CH0 and then SWR in the next pulldown.?

Found it!? Thanks!? ?Now I can use the app on my Android phone to check swr in the yard.
No more lugging the laptop around.

You're welcome!
Unfortunately, there isn't a user guide for the web app just yet and it's best to play with it and try everything in sight. You can't break anything.?

Folks,
For the android App you need to be running at least android 6.? I tried to install it on an old samsung galaxy note and, when I searched the playstore, it was not listed.? Checking again with my google pixel 2, the app IS listed.? The difference is the Samsung galaxy note is running android 4.3 and the google pixel 2 is running version 10.
I searched for nanovna to find it.
And, on further looking...? the play store identifies it as the "NanoVNA WebApp"!? ?
Cool!? Learned a new thing again today.??
Thanks and I apologize for the confusion (and being confused).??

For those intrepid souls who want to push the limits of the older Android devices, you can download the NanoVNA Android app latest release from the developer's github webpage:
?? Latest release is from 3 days ago:?

First make sure developer options are enabled:?

Enable developer options and debugging
- Open the Settings app.
- (Only on Android 8.0 or higher) Select System.
- Scroll to the bottom and select About phone.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Build number 7 times.
- Return to the previous screen to find Developer options near the bottom.
Then, you need to enable side-loading through developer options:

?

If? v1.4 doesn't work on your Android version, try one of the earlier releases.

In my experience if an app is not downloadable from Google Play Store because it does not support your phone version, then you will not be able to side load it either. At install you generally receive a message that effectively means the app is not compatible with your phone version. Pretty much the only way around it is to root your phone and install a 7.0 or higher rom from XDA or one of the other sites that offer un-official upgrades. The procedure voids your phone warranty and is not for the faint of heart.

- Herb

I don't think users running android 6 or less have to worry about warranty at this point.

You'd be surprised how many under warrenty Tracfone smartphones are still at version 4.4 :) My biggest fear would be losing data stored in my phone during the rooting and upgrade process.

.. or rebuild the app, specifying support for older Androids.
Build tools warns about most dependency issues.

I bought my samsung galaxy note 3 a couple years ago to experiment on.? At the time I had an iphone and the space debris (and satellite) tracking software I wanted to use was (and still is) only available for android.? ?
I did not buy it as a phone, but as an android device.? It cost me $15.00.

So instead of using your current phone, check with your friends and see if they will sell (or give) you their old android device to play with!

Or - have a look at the XDA forums for a new ROM:?

I have two older Android Phones, (Galaxy S III,
needs battery, and Galaxy S5). Free if you come
and get them.
I am in Vail, Arizona (20m SSE of Tucson).

Any suggestions, besides rooting my device?
