loading .rar firmware

I try to avoid the fads for compression tools in favor of 1) STANDARDS, and 2) Open source. The compression advantages are small and the nuisances are big. Not to start an OS battle but other operating systems may have made it that easy by now maybe depending on versions. Before anybody takes extraordinary or heroic steps, give that a try first. NC4BR All Messages By This Member #20551 RAR is an archival file. You must extract the firmware file from it first. I think 7Z will open it for free. You can do a search for others. WinRAR is not free.
