loading .rar firmware

Are there instructions somewhere on how to load the .rar files? I found them for the DFU files, but the firmware appears to be in the RAR format.....

RAR is similar to a zip file- it's an archive with 1 or more files in it.?
You need to extract it's contents.? Use 7zip or another archiving app

RAR is an alternative to ZIP. There are several free tools that will
handle them. "7-zip" seemed the least atrocious to me. I try to avoid the
fads for compression tools in favor of 1) STANDARDS, and 2) Open source.
The compression advantages are small and the nuisances are big.

Hi,

I run Linux and I have for decades now. I right click on the rar files and in the popup menu is "extract" and "extract here". Not to start an OS battle but other operating systems may have made it that easy by now maybe depending on versions. Before anybody takes extraordinary or heroic steps, give that a try first. In the fire service we tried the door to see if it was unlocked before we broke it down:)

RAR is an archival file. You must extract the firmware file from it first. I think 7Z will open it for free. You can do a search for others. WinRAR is not free.
