History/Purpose of SD for VNA

Stan DyeI cannot figure why an SD slot would be accommodated ALMOST from original design, be so useful, and not ever implemented. Is this in ye olde archives? I cannot see it as a Test Q&A, nor a great idea not implemented for lack of a coin to flip. BillSF9c |

(esp if you're trying to hit a specific target cost, like $50) Software to drive it not yet written (don't want to listen to gripes about "the pins are there, why doesn't it do this function) Couldn't fit full size in original layout (Squeezing it in the 2.3" screen with the shielding cans, etc. is hard) Original NanoVNA had no case (self explanatory) The NanoVNA has gone through quite a few revisions over the last few years. |
and now we have them modded with sd card , xtal for a clock, battery indication, 4 and even 7 inch ... some with sma and some with n connectors

with open or closed fw ...?
