nanovna-saver cal panel won't fit gnome screen

Hi-

I've spent three interesting days updating my EeePC notebook PC's Debian Linux OS so I could install the nanovna-saver software. Finally got there and all was good until I decided to load a calibration file and/or create a new one.

I've found that the calibration panel doesn't fit the screen. The bottom third or so is not visible, so I don't have access to the buttons for loading and saving calibration data. I hoped that I could drag the panel upward, but I cannot - I can move it down only, or stretch it horizontally, which is no help.

I did a few generic Debian/gnome searches on the issue and it seems to be not uncommon, but the solutions offered don't seem to help in my case.

Anyone got a suggestion for this? If there's no resolution, perhaps the author would consider changing the layout of the panel to accommodate screens with limited vertical space(?)

Thanks,

Nick,
I have a "beautiful" Flat Screen Sony, it was a Christmas gift from a dear lady friend. Back when LCD flat Screen Monttors were $250+. I was living in New England and left there 14 years ago. It keeps playing. It is 4:3 screen format.. I use it with a 4 port KVM in the hamshack. (Win Server, Win 7, Linux Mint, Win 10)
The calibration box on Win 7 on that 4:3 screen does exceed the screen size, but I can "drag" it around. at pop-up 75% is visable, So I'm ahead of you, as far as my GUI... My graphs are not perfectly formatted to my screen, perhaps better looking on a widescreen.

I hope the author places this on his "Honey do list" but More important is the "real" nuts and bolts of VNA that we so appreciate of the program to date.. I can click and drag just fine..

I also appreciate multi platform versions the author is working with.. goes beyond my pay grade indeed.

Thanks for the responses.

The trick of using alt + left mouse only allows moving the window down.
There's also a mini-menu if you right click the title bar of the panel with
some promising sounding options including "move" and "resize" but they
don't get you to the bottom of the panel either.

However on another web search today I found a good tip on an Ubuntu site.
If you do alt-F7, you can move the panel any direction, including UP. It
allowed me to do the calibration and load & save results.

Kinda clunky though, so a revision that adds a scroll bar or makes the
panel shorter and fatter would be useful for us notebook users.

Really? I have used this method for years on a bunch of different Linux distros. Hold down Alt, left click and drag the window any way you want: up, down, sideways, whatever. Something ain't right here.
