Clabraion kir data for both the male and female kit


 

Hi All

As promised hereby follows the data for entering into the NanoVNA-Saver non
ideal calibration settings for accurate measurements.
As discussed the female female adaptor is very poor, but I have created data
so it is quire useable when used for constituting a female calibration kit.

As Hugen just informed, there are outgoing shipments where the poor female
female adaptor is substituted with a better type. When I one way or the
other get hold of a new kit with this improved adaptor, I will repeat the
measurements to get it optimized including L and C coefficient, and
hopefully the NanoVNA-saver then also will include shunt C for the Load. The
data I here published is "manipulated" to avoid use of C shunt for the load.

I made the same measurement on my nanoVNA cal kit. Got 22e-15 too for C0. See /g/nanovna-users/message/4526

However i know different kits are being supplied. A friend got a low quality short made in a single piece that leaves a small air gap. So we must attach kit photos with the obtained coefs. I need to get a good macro camera...

Great, very assuring. Agree photos is a good idea and I did that some time ago when I started to comment this topic.
One of these days I will issue a document when to use male and female kit for insertable and non-insertable DUT's. It is quite easy to make mistakes regarding calibration and ensuring calibration is at the calibration plane and not out in the blue air or somewhere inside the test cables.
