Re: How to get into console?
Console is when the nanoVNA is connected to a PC and you use serial over USB to connect to the nanoVNA. So on windows you check which COM port is added when you connect the nanoVNA and switch it on.

Thanks, Eugen. Actually I tried that last year. Although I got no error messages during the installation process, when I attempt to launch nanovna-saver I receive the following:

Be sure you have an original Hugen v3.4 (or updated HW) when trying anything above 1.5GHz Anything older/worse will only show a lot of noise above 1.5GHz And don't complain if it does not work well.

Actually, I almost started a topic about the max frequency a few weeks ago, as I¡¯ve never seen anyone else mention it. Starting with 0.6.0, both of my nanos will cover up to 2.7Ghz. I find that past

I would recommend contacting the supplier and request a better product or a refund because you have proof there is something wrong with the product. Replacing the SI5351 can easily lead to

Erik and Larry thanks for your suggestions. I connected CH0 on the Nanovna to a scope, and at first it was difficult to see any difference in the signal, especially since the signal has a periodic "DC

Re: SO-239 standards for HF Band-pass filter work?
There is no such thing as a PL259/SO239 standard as these connectors are not matched. It doesn't matter so much at HF but they are awful things. Why manufacturers still use them beats me but they do

Re: edy555 release 0.7.0-20200223

The latest firmware update from edy555 allows you to enter an EXPERIMENTAL top frequency of 2.5GHz. The Nanovna is capable of 50KHz to 1.2GHz with reasonable measurements (for a hobby device).

Re: SO-239 standards for HF Band-pass filter work?
FWIW, I' probably use 239/259 to SMA/N adapters, and then use SMA/N cal standards.? At HF the length and reactance of the adapters won't have any noticeable effect, and the SMA/N cal standards are

Thanks. I did in fact calibrate it when it arrived. I don't see why a lack of calibration would cause either of these problems in any event ?? ________________________________ Sent: February 25, 2020
