Re: Anritsu 22N50 open/short definitions

Hi, did you have a look at the ANRITSU application note that I am attaching here??? On page 16 (17 of the pdf file) you will find the meaning of C0, C1, C2, C3. Is nanovna-saver able to handle such

Anritsu 22N50 open/short definitions
#calibration
I picked up a cheap Anritsu 22N50 male N-type open/short recently. Apparently these were meant to be used mainly with the Site Master (scalar) antenna analyzers, but they are listed as an accessory

Re: Wireless remote control of nanoVNA-H
Very nice solution! When purchasing an HC-05 module make sure it works with a power input of 3.3V like the Itead HC-05 module in this implementation. Some of the ones you see for sale require a higher

Re: Serious question
Wow! Great response. I will attempt to answer your questions in order. 1. 135¡¯ was one of the recommended lengths to avoid being a 1/2 wave. The 9:1 has 75¡¯ of LM400 connected to it. I have no

Re: Wireless remote control of nanoVNA-H
A friend of mine, which have a v.3.3 board, is planning to solder two (RX & TX) very thin wires directly on the proper pads of STM32. I will invite him to report his experience.

Re: Wireless remote control of nanoVNA-H
Correct. Apparently the P UART connection was added in the v3.4 pcb. Curriously, I found that the ChibiOS serial driver and HAL were already configured to nable that UART. I'm not sure if this was

Re: Wireless remote control of nanoVNA-H
My NanoVNA v3.3 doesn't have the serial port from the CPU fed to pins like yours. Looks like they were added after the v3.3 board. Thank you for sharing Piero !

Wireless remote control of nanoVNA-H
Hi all, thanks to the support of DaveLapp I was able to interface a HC-05 Bluetooth module to the "P3" port of my nanoVNA-H (PCB 3.4). Just few days ago, Dave made available a firmware release (at

Re: Two (joined) cable calibrate and DFU firmware upgrade
The two cables basically move the "reference plane" to the end of the cables, when the cal is done right (i.e. for the single port cals, it should be cable from Ch0 to f-f adapter to Short, or open or

Oops, I left out " at 40 meters." It should say "135 feet is very close to 1/2 wavelength for 80 meters, and a full wavelength on 40 meters."

Re: Serious question
135 feet is very close to 1/2 wavelength for 80 meters, and a full wavelength. A 1/2 wavelength (and multiples of 1/2 wave) antenna has an impedance in the range of 3,000 to 5,000 ohms. As was

Re: Serious question
Not exactly accurate. This configuration (without 9:1 unun) would exhibit impedances ~200 - 300ohms at a few points between 1 & 50MHz. Some of which are in or near ham bands (11MHz, 18MHz at the

Re: Two (joined) cable calibrate and DFU firmware upgrade
The instructions assume that you would be using the 2 cables to measure S21 on some 2-port device. This would mean attaching the cables to SMA ports on the device under test. Calibrating this would

Re: Serious question
The nanovna is telling the truth - A 9:1 unun with a 135' wire will not have resonance on any band. Most of your signal will not radiate and it will be converted to heat. Replace the unun with a 50:1
