Re: Measuring common mode choke impeedance and reactance
Almost two years ago, I posted several tutorials to this group indicating how to measure both parameters. Those procedures should be in the archives in this group. Dave - W0LEV [email protected]>

Measuring common mode choke impeedance and reactance
Hi all, I wondered if there was a guide somewhere I could read showing me how to measure the Impeedance and Reactance of Common Mode Chokes. At this point in time I'm testing my chokes using S21 Gain

Yes it¡¯s the small plastic with rocker so it¡¯s the H I had this problem before for swr readings What should my scale divisions be set to My Elad shows my swr as a bit high, but won¡¯t let me key

Re: H4 Shielding?
Did you do a full calibration of the NanoVNA (for your frequency range)? My 3+ year old, unshielded clone works fine (for HF antennas, anyway). -- Doug, K8RFT

Re: nano vna small one is it the F
The Hugen -H/H4 firmware (or DiSlord FW) is not compatible with the Deepelec NanoVNA-F. There are significant hardware differences not the least of which is the screen resolution. You really need to

Re: H4 Shielding?
Greetings, I am curious about the route cause of the antenna VSWR measurement failure. As I understand it the internal missing shield problem (associated with the clones) just reduced the dynamic

Re: nano vna small one is it the F
Hugen made the -H, not the -F. The "F" has a 4.2 inch screen and a metal case. (I have both.) You could try installing a new firmware update, or do a full re-calibration. " my reading are all stuck

Re: cal isolation
Which is of little consequence unless you are measuring high-isolation devices like filters or diplexers, and none at all for those doing one-port reflection measurements (antennas), which I suspect

Re: cal isolation
On professional VNAs like the 8753, the internal isolation of the hardware is so good that the isolation calibration step is only useful if you are using a fixture that has isolation problems. For the

Re: cal isolation
Many times, it's appropriate to skip the isolation cal. Even professionally, HP (the 8753C) gives one the choice to specifically skip isolation. If you do conduct the isolation cal, terminate both

Re: cal isolation
tekguy, You should connect 50 ohm loads to both connectors. If you have an attenuator of 10 dB or more, that can be used as a reasonable 50 ohm load. --John Gord

Re: nano vna small one is it the F
The-F model has a 4 inch screen with either the rocker switch or pushbuttons depending upon models. Hugan made an original VanoVNA that was small and had the rocker switch. *Clyde K. Spencer*

Garry, 'twas ever thus! /Caveat emptor!/ 2 things: 1) you might have had better luck with the antenna if there had been a coax choke immediately before the antenna feed. Even with lots of radials,
