Re: How to set up for the Demo RF kit for the 30 Mhz band pass filter reading #learning
I couldn't find a schematic for the test board, so I don't know what the BPF looks like. Span is just the size of the sweep - either you set start and stop, or set center and span.

Re: How to set up for the Demo RF kit for the 30 Mhz band pass filter reading #learning
Do you set the frequency range say from 20 Mhz to 50 Mhz, and set the centre frequency to 30 Mhz, and then sweep the frequency to get the graph? What about SPAN and RBW (band width) - what do you set

Re: How to set up for the Demo RF kit for the 30 Mhz band pass filter reading #learning
That would likely be the S11 magnitude - in the passband, the filter lets the RF through, so it sees the 50 ohms on the other side, so refl

Greetings, The open, Short, Load calibration is fine for single port measurement. However,?there are two additional calibrations to be completed when you intend to perform two port?measurements.

How to set up for the Demo RF kit for the 30 Mhz band pass filter reading #learning
I received the RF Demo kit for NanoVNA. The cables are indeed fiddly to attach on the pcb board, but I am getting used to it. Just hope that it will last for some long time rather than get mangled,

Hi Chris, 1. Have you ensured USB OTG is turned on? https://youtu.be/2qxr2NkAohY 2. Have you tried connecting a USB storage device and seeing if it is detected properly? To confirm it's usb data pins

Re: FW update snafu
Is there a particular reason you're upgrading the firmware? I'd see if the unit will make the measurements you want with the existing firmware. Hook it up to your PC and use one of the PC applications

FW update snafu
Hi all you experts! Just trying to use my older nanoVNA-H- ver. 0.2.3-1- for the first time and thought I'd update the FW before I got going. I'm not a computer guy, but believe, using the Absolute

The additional sticker shock is (always) Sparkfun's shipping costs unless you spend 100 bucks with them. That alone keeps me from hardly ever ordering from them. I do enough work with u.fl's that I

I have different nanoVNA types, and I find myself using the SAA-2N model most frequently. I got mine from R&L Electronics (USA vendor). I also use my LibreVNA in my work, but it is in a different

Hello John, I have a NanoVNA-F which has a 4.3" IPS screen. Very easy to read outside compared to the -H4. The NanoVNA-F by Deepelec has a new replacement, the DeepVNA-101. Basically the same hardware

Re: New member question #nanovna
John, The NanoVNA-V2plus4 and the NanoVNA-F both come in a metal enclosure which /might/ be a little more robust. The H4 while being in a plastic case is also well supported. The SV4401A has a bigger

Re: New member question #nanovna
In my opinion the nanovna-H4 would suit your needs well. It is reasonably inexpensive, covers your frequency range well, and supports the latest firmware developments.

New member question #nanovna
I am considering purchasing a NanoVNA, primarily for the purpose of analyzing HF through 70 CM antennas. I want to have at least a 4" display, and I want to be able to use it in the field. Good
