Coax choke/balun
I have seen desktop antenna/coax assemblies (such as for an SDR) that take the (thin) coax cable and wrap it around a small toroid about 3 or 4 times, close to the antenna. I understand this is to

Re: Measurement EFHWA
Hey Pete, Indeed it is a 1:49 after all... I didn't catch that when I posted. My EFHW started out as 3/24 turns (1:8) or a 1:64... but after measuring with the NanoVNA I ended up removing 3 turns. I

Re: NanoVNA Function-Oriented Cheat Sheet
This video by Alan on the NanoVNA is a great intro. It gets a little technical for the uninitiated but definitely worth the time of watching it several

Re: Measurement EFHWA
Jim, Do you want to measure the impedance looking into the end fed wire itself? A 67 ft long wire from 12 inches above ground straight to a tree at about a 70 degree angle comes in about 3700

Re: Measurement EFHWA
Hello Jim, I am not an expert or experienced antenna guru - but I like my end fed half wave for 20 and 40 meters. I "sorta" modeled mine off of "Gil the radio prepper" on YouTube and also Alex's

Oops, I also meant to mention that the sellers, like 98% of all sellers, do not mention features (like memory storage, or instruction manuals) that their product do NOT include. -- Doug, K8RFT

Re: Saving Measurement from antenna
The NanoVNA is a bit like the 'traditional' V.O.M. - Just gives readings on a meter/display. There is/are now version(s) with connections on the PC board to add a microSD card for storage, and I

Re: NanoVNA Function-Oriented Cheat Sheet
I have thought the same thing ever since I got my Nano VNA. It also would not take anyone more than a few minutes because I assume we all have things we have figured out how to do and if we all sent

Re: BT connection doesn't work on NanoVNA-saver
"Why version newer than 0.2.0 don't work on BT virtual COM?" A poetic question to which the answer is: there is no one to carry on Rune¡¯s legacy. Happy Holidays and all the best! -- *** If you

Unfortunatly even if I manually enter the com port, nanoVNA Saver 0.3.8 doesn't connect and issues this error: 2020-12-22 22:56:54,788 - NanoVNASaver.NanoVNASaver - ERROR - Tried to open None and

Re: Touchscreen type?
The touch screen is resistive. You can use a stylus with a hard rounded tip like those used with the old Palm Pilot PDAs. Some forum members used Q-tips.

You are not, no such feature. Calibrate at the end of the feed line, measure in your shack. [email protected]> wrote:

Re: BT connection doesn't work on NanoVNA-saver
This problem exist long time. Try manually enter com port setting to nanovna saver. Rescan not work. Manually defined com port works with virtual com port.
