Re: 50Mhz 3 element Yagi SWR results quite different from NanoVna predictions!
I hate to to reply to myself, but I got this PM: Hi Very interesting! You mean you had someone with a computer and nanovna at the other end of the cable and you were controlling them remotely via VNC

4NEC2 will get you in the ballpark, but we found Helix antennas didn't quite agree when tested in a commercial RF anechoic chamber and far off enough to require modifications. PITA when it's a

Re: Help reading Antenna plots
This is the antenna when it its wound to the 14m markers so even shorter than the 7m marker on the wires. This position gives good readings for the 40, 15, and 6m bands i think i will leave it here

Re: Help reading Antenna plots
The choke you built is good for center fed doublets - equal lengths of wire either side of the center insulator. More or less turns on your choke will not change the resonant points of the wires. If

Re: Help reading Antenna plots
Dave, Yes it's nicely under 3:1 on 40 and 15 meters for sure and if i had equipment for 6m its good there as well so i guess if the markers say this setting is for 7m then would it be right to say it
