I have also used a regular microUSB cable with an inexpensive microUSB to USB Type -C converter. Worked okay.

Also NanoVNA-Q firmware has si5351 status checking, so if there is a problem, you will see PLL indicator on the screen. And also it allows to pause sweep and connect NanoVNA to PC and read paused

Go to the Play store and search for nanovna. You'll find the only app available - but make sure your android device supports USB OTG and you have an OTG cable.
