On other lists, I've found it sometimes due to the specific mail client and in one case has to do with creating HTML mail where the line breaks were <br> not <p> and somewhere along the line, the <br>

Another thing to try is to remove the current device driver associated with that port, and then let Windows reinstall that driver when you plug in the nanoVNA...
