What did you buy - the H or the H4? Some of the early H4 units had problems with the housing pressing on the touchscreen. Loosen the housing (4 screws) and then see if you still have the problem. There are several threads in the forum and Wiki about this. Good Luck! On Monday, June 22, 2020, 2:34:01 p.m. EDT, Les <lesbiffle@...> wrote:

The STM32F303 does not support OTG.

For a small device like the NanoVNA an N connector is simply too bulky. I have to disagree with that. The extra size would be of no practical consequence to most people if a NanoVNA was in a larger case suitable for N connectors. The small size and battery operation makes the unit portable, but few people use SMA connectors outside. Most people will use an adapter to SO-239 or N. While I can see the point of having SMA connectors on the PCB, as soon as it¡¯s put into a case, I believe N is the only sensible connector type. A lot of NanoVNAs are going to be used essentially as antenna analyzers, and for that the unit should have a suitably sized connector. Dave -- Dr. David Kirkby, Kirkby Microwave Ltd, drkirkby@... At the end of the day even SMA would be marginal. If you played around with this board frequently you will even wear out SMA connectors. It's not relevant for NanoVNA frequencies, but SMA connectors offer significantly better microwave performance than N connectors: I sick and tired of wasting timing making junk measurements because of junk materials, connector and cables. If you use it daily then it's probably worth spending more than $50 on your network analyzer, an instrument class where price levels 60dB higher would still be considered reasonable! The Rohde & Schwarz ZVH comes with N connectors and can be had for less than a 50dB increase in price, for example :) |

Hi,
Have a look at Alan;s latest videos, they can put you in the right track. (..invaluable) -> Also, have a look at group's wiki for all kind of information -> /g/nanovna-users/wiki |

I am a new NanoVNA owner and have received my unit through GigaParts. For a new user who has a device that comes with close to zero instructions the list looks like an incredible resource but is a bit like trying to drink from a fire hose!
Could any one recommend a file, video, or site that is a good first step to this device? I am initially interested in antenna tuning/analysis but eventually want to move on to explore other features. Tim N9PUZ |
Re: How to find the right ferrite toroid for a receiving antenna balun?
Be aware that very few receivers have 50 ohms input impedance on the RECEIVER. Years ago I decided to measure some of my radios and it was an eye opener for me. I always ASSumed that all my ham radios were 50 ohms. I measured between 20 to 200 ohms.

Hallo zusammen,
Funktioniert gut. Wolfgang, DK2FQ |

It is recommended that you use the firmware compiled by DiSlord.

Looking at purchasing a NanoVNA H4. Where is the best place to research what the meter will and will not do? Second where is a honest place to purchase one that¡¯s fair and not a knock off? I have been told the NanoVNA is the meter I need for 2m, 70cm and HF. I read a lot of the posts but did not find the information I need. Thank you for your time to respond.
