Re: Improving the performance of a pre-V3.4
Please do not worry about DC resistance. I measured the v3.4 nanoVNA with another VNA and the port impedances are rather good -- NanoVNA Wiki: /g/nanovna-users/wiki/home NanoVNA

Re: coax loss
I ran a test case simulation as a point of reference to a vna measure. This is 100 feet of RG-213 coax. However, I deliberately made the coax much better and than much worse than typical to compare

Re: Improving the performance of a pre-V3.4
Larry, I recently bought a Nanovna-H4 and a measure 57.945 Ohms at port 0 @ 10kHz? (4 points measurement), at port 1 I measure a decent 50.336 Ohms. I'm worried about? this. Jos. Op 1-2-2020 om

Re: nanovna app issues
Are you using the android app from the Google Play store or the Webapp at https://cho45.stfuawsc.com/NanoVNA/ ? You may need to use an OTG cable depending on which version of the NanoVNA you are

Re: coax loss
Run the same test at 50, 100, and maybe even 200 MHz. Compare those loss measurements against published loss data for your coax. I've experienced coax cables that measure 'mostly' good at low

Larry. DC resistance is irrelevant. Measure in on State and above 50kHz -- NanoVNA Wiki: /g/nanovna-users/wiki/home NanoVNA Files: /g/nanovna-users/files Erik, PD0EK

Re: Free Smith chart or matching software
Some time ago I found https://quicksmith.online/ I used it a few times, was good. But in the end I prefer the good old RFsim99. I hope the author is still alive and will make it open source. Op

Re: Improving the performance of a pre-V3.4 original Hugen nanoVNA
I ran across this link on one of the Russian NanoVNA user groups, https://github.com/hugen79/NanoVNA-H/files/4142428/NanoVNA.Rev.3.0.Mods.1.0.pdf . It is a fairly detailed document describing

Re: Free Smith chart or matching software
From what I can see, the dellsperger software isn't free except in crippleware form. Full function costs $80 or so. As far as the rfdude software, many of his tools use mathcad which is not free.
