Herb, Very nice report. I also have the c connector issue. Had to remove some plastic. Tried your firmware issue and my unit hangs as well. The center freq did show up correctly though. Merle

The DFU mode is entered by turning OFF the unit, pressing in and holding the selector switch and then turning the unit ON.Then release the switch.
