Re: We started selling SAA2 with N-type RF connector and 4-inch display
Hello David, SAA-2N still uses the original SAA-2 PCB without any changes.

Hello OneOfEleven, we are evaluating whether our supplier can provide SMA connectors comparable to Amphenol. If possible, we will use better connectors in next-generation products.

Hello Rich, using DHL, you are expected to receive it before the end of August.

The s21 noise floor is at least 40dB down to 1.5GHz using v1.0.10 on my H4. The s21 noise floor is at least 50dB down to 1.5GHz using v1.0.11 on my H4. Both versions measured a 30 dB attenuator accurately to 1.5GHz. Previous version started to lose accuracy above 1.2GHz. Surprising the extra 10dB of headroom with v1.0.11 did not gain me anything when measuring a 40dB attenuator. Both versions were very noisy measuring a 40dB attenuator above 1200 MHz. Comparison measurements of a 200 - 500MHz BPF and 300MHz LPF give the edge to version 1.0.11 (see attached screenshots). I experienced lock-ups which required cycling power to the H4 using v1.0.11. The lock-ups occur randomly after the H4 has been operating for a while. I'll try changing my threshold and see if the lock-ups still happen. - Herb ![]()

Dear Dr. David Kirkby, Hello, our products have been commercialized and we attach great importance to compliance.

Hi Igor, Did that too, enabled RTC, SDCARD, enabled 192K and it works ok for me. I got a brand new Nano vna h v3.4. Right out the box no cables. At all. No connectors. Nothing. No charger. I'm dealing with it right now with the seller and they want me to return it. They did it to me on purpose. But I'm past it. I know it can be fixed. the vna shows white screen and I'm assuming it's fairly easily fixed. Idc if it can't be used without the computer. Whatever. But if anyone knows what causes the screen to be white like that I'd take a stab at fixing it. Not sending it out back to them when they intentionally sent me this bs. All because I needed to change my shipping address. Anyways. Any help is appreciated.

Do you mean the "bandwidth" settings Igor ?Nope, I talk stop frequency. Setting for example 1500MHz or 2000MHz disconnects the H4 from serial, it also offers to "save the .bmp" when clicking on Scan. Bandwidth is a different issue.. |

many using the HP 8753C): Typical goal is to adjust for at least 100 dB isolation between receive and transmit frequencies for amateur repeater operation. This applies to a 6-can BPBF design. The 8753C has enough dynamic range to accomplish 110 dB of isolation with careful adjustment and good cabling. However, the NANO's do not. They are capable of 70 dB, depending on frequency, but not any more. You can typically 'guess' at the middle of the isolation curve by rocking adjustments back and forth, but no assurance of the target 100 dB (or better) isolation. If you are happy with 70 dB of isolation, OK. Otherwise, not. Dave - W?LEV On Mon, Aug 3, 2020 at 8:49 PM Sam Reaves <sam.reaves@...> wrote:

In simple words: Then NanoVna measure signal level and phase it made fft (fast fourier transform for IF frequency) and grab all IF power in bandwidth range, bigger bandwidth, less measure, but also grab noise in this range. Less BW, more measure need, but less noise range and better result. |

What is the max frequency set? I cannot do 2000MHz (v0157, H4 108fw).Do you mean the "bandwidth" settings Igor ? If so, that is not the scan frequency, that is the baseband bandwidth, which can be set to 10Hz to 4000Hz .. NOT MHz The baseband bandwidth is the bandwidth seen by the VNA at each scan spot frequency as it scans across the scan range. The higher the baseband bandwidth the faster the VNA scans, so low bandwidth settings make the VNA scan very slowly. |
