nanovna-h storage box
For any of you out there with a nanovna-h. I have just done this storage case for 3d printing
I am working on a taller case to add a 2nd tray for cables The tolerances are tight. depending on your printer you may have to do a little light sanding for the lid to fit nice as it can be a tight fit. |

Hi Erik
Very interesting to see the NanoVNA-QT software accept Touchstone files for calibration standards and it has both port 1 and port 2 reflection calibration and apparent for different genders. I anticipate the Thru then is a s2p file. This is a big step forward for the NanoVNA V2 compared to NanoVNA Kind regards Kurt -----Oprindelig meddelelse----- Fra: [email protected] <[email protected]> P? vegne af erik@... Hopefully Gabriel will continue her involvement on the firmware front. Too bad Gabriel didn't follow the NanoVNA-F's use of a virtual disk to perform firmware upgrades. I don't mind DIY projects that don't involve smd soldering. I suspect a lot of buyers will do like you and build their own cases (3D printed or hand crafted),and operate the SAA-2 connected to a PC without a battery. The cost of cables and calibration standards to 3 GHz probably explains why the distributor decided not to include them. If the buyer purchases cheap aftermarket cables and standards and they don't perform as expected, the SAA-2 distributor can't be blamed. - Herb |

NanoVNA saver basically behaves identical when controlling V1 or V2. At least during a short test
Tapr-VNA also behaves identical The Xana derived SW works well and has to be used if you want to upgrade the firmware without ST-Link or similar. -- NanoVNA Wiki: /g/nanovna-users/wiki/home NanoVNA Files: /g/nanovna-users/files Erik, PD0EK |

I suspect that most people would gladly pay a few bucks more for a full package. Sourcing batteries from China is a hassle (shipping restrictions) and finding a reliable source for good quality adapters and cables is a gamble. So far 80% of the cables or connectors that I ordered on AliExpress were junk or fake. With time, when others start to manufacture clones, they will be forced to provide a full kit at the same price point. On Sat, 7 Mar 2020 at 17:17, Larry Rothman <nlroth@...> wrote:

Thanks for sharing.? It's unfortunate that people would rather complain than read the designer's posts about attempting to meet a certain price point.? This release is a great starting point for early adopters and it can only get better. Just make a hole in the click in cover and some holes in the side for USB and SMA. As there is no battery no need to expose the switch. -- NanoVNA Wiki: /g/nanovna-users/wiki/home NanoVNA Files: /g/nanovna-users/files Erik, PD0EK |
