Hi Kurt,
I purchased the battery from a local market. Have a look. The Tindie seller hasnt shipped the package yet. Meanwhile I shall keep all things ready. -- Salil Tembe (Nuclearrambo.com) |

Hi Salil
Found one, however LiPo but I believe is will work as well as Li-ion -----Oprindelig meddelelse----- Fra: [email protected] <[email protected]> P? vegne af Salil Tembe Sendt: 6. marts 2020 18:52 Til: [email protected] Emne: Re: [nanovna-users] V2 Design #NanoVNA-V2 Its available on Tindie. Hi Salil
I ordered one too, and are now searching for a Li-ion battery 1000-2000mAh max dimension 6x40x60mm preferably with JST-XH 2.54mm connector. Have you found any ? Both the original nanoVNA and the V2 fit perfect in the 100x60x25mm box you can find very cheap on eBay. Example: 5 for 4 Euro
My plastic manipulation skill are not perfect but the unit is well protected and at such a price per box its no problem if you destroy one. Just make a hole in the click in cover and some holes in the side for USB and SMA. As there is no battery no need to expose the switch. -- NanoVNA Wiki: /g/nanovna-users/wiki/home NanoVNA Files: /g/nanovna-users/files Erik, PD0EK |

Re: Wireless control of NanoVNA
Hi,
I tried rasberry zero wh with nanovna. No succes. I use Raspbian. Graphical user interface very slow, without nanovna. I try command line only mode and rtl_sdr tcp server. Extreme slow, simply not usable, I am disappointed. I try RPI to configure wifi ap mode + ser2net. Not easy way, no succes too. Hard very long manuals, with some not working commands. See next email, I switch to Android with good succes. 73, Lajos =============================== Lajos, The RPi Zero WH is the lowest powered, smallest memory unit in the range. 512 MB, single-core. If using a graphical interface, I would suggest the 3B+ or 4 as a much more suitable RPi. I have also had problems with ser2net and similar software. 73, David GM8ARV -- SatSignal Software - Quality software for you Web: Email: david-taylor@... Twitter: @gm8arv |

============================ More sweep points, excellent! Greater frequency range, good but why no 10 kHz? However, low cost has meant some sacrifices: - small display, despite many requests that it be larger. - no box, the unit is naked and rather delicate. - micro USB rather than USB-C, so incompatible with all the other units. - no battery! - no SMA cables. I would be very interested in a unit covering past 2.5 GHz, but for these reasons, I'll wait on a more complete unit. Re: Measuring Nano Inductance
Sadly, after I installed it, all I get is a badly twitching display. Can you tell who to turn to for fixing that ?

WOW !!!!! Thanks Roger. What a wonderful program !!! Never heard of it.

One is R+jX which will give you the Resistance (which will rise with frequency due to the skin effect) and X-Reactance. The other one to select is a display of Inductance vs Frequency which does the conversion from reactance to inductance for you. For a 100 nH inductor you are probably using an air wound coil so you won't see that much change in inductance with frequency. However, inductors made with toroids will because the permeability of the core goes down with frequency. Roger |

Re: Wireless control of NanoVNA
Hi,
Now, I have good succes Nanovna WIFI mode with Android phone (Samsung Xcover 3). Nanovna connected to phone with USB-OTG cable. This phone not new, Android 5.1.1. I use on phone TCPUART by hardcoded joy. On pc I use Trueport. Nanovna saver not detect automatically the Nanovna, but manual port settings works. Stable connection, vna works well. But Nanovna Saver device screenshot function always crash. I try with router works, I try without router and without mobile internet, Phone simply switch to hotspot mode. Works well too. I not know how to contact Nanovna webapp developer. I think tcp serial data stream support easy upgrade. 73, Lajos |

Re: Measuring Nano Inductance
First use the appropriate equation to solve for the diameter or number of turns etc for the desired coil. Toroid, solenoid...?
Then do a one port CH0 cal on your vna from 1 MHz to 100 MHz only. That is sufficient freq range to find the L value if you are close for 100 nH. I would mount the L under test to a SMA female connector and solder the L under test to the center pin of that connector. Trying to keep the parasitic L of the fixture to a min. Connect the SMA female and go measure CH0 using S11 Smith chart display. You can knife the coil turns or compress to hit the desired L. |
