Re: Deleting measurement profiles

When you say settings, are you talking about calibrations?

Re: Deleting measurement profiles

Thank you, John. Never thought about simply overwriting previous settings. Your suggestion works great. Many thanks.

Saving calibrations and measurements to VNA-View after calibrating and measuring off computer?

Using NanoVna V2 SAA-2N fw 1.1.00, and just starting to try to use VNA-View 1.1 on Linux computer. Never used this software before.

Is there a way to save a calibration that I did with the nanovna not attached to the computer? For example, I am outside and do a calibration and measurement. I bring the nanovna inside later in order to save and examine that calibration and measurement on the computer. I am not seeing a way to do that. When I invoke VNA-View it (and instructions I've seen) seems to want to calibrate using the computer interface, and I don't see a way to tell it to use what is already on the device.

The program does recognize the device. But does it recognize saved calibrations and measurements that were made when the device was not attached to the computer?

Thanks,
Keith

No, you have it wrong. If you can't get an answer on Facebook (correct or otherwise) it doesn't exist.

And this is why I'm not so wild about videos as "reference material". A
video is great for a demonstration of how to do something. I just
disassembled and regreased my Kitchenaid mixer, and frankly, seeing
someone else do it made it a lot easier. The written instructions say
something like "apply sufficient grease" - seeing someone do it tells
you a lot more. But a video to tell me how to install software, entirely
from the command line? 1 page of cut and paste from the screen would
have met the need, I didn't need to hear someone talking about "now I'm
entering the sudo pip install numpy command" and watching them type on
the screen.

The firmware commands (most of them) are documented in a pdf file called

NanoVNA_Console_Commands_Dec 9-19.pdf which can be found on the groups.io nanovna website.
/g/nanovna-users/files

Generally, the firmware will respond to a help command to give a list of them all.

But that probably does not interests majority of users....
Yes count me as one of those not interested.

On other lists, I've found it sometimes due to the specific mail client
and in one case has to do with creating HTML mail where the line breaks
were
not
and somewhere along the line, the
get stripped out.
In another case it was where the lines were being composed on a very
skinny window, and the "end of line" happened to line up with the edge
of the window (along with other "as displayed" breaks that weren't
sent), so the person composing the mail didn't realize there were no
line breaks - it looked ok on their end. They had inserted line breaks
to separate paragraphs, but those got stripped out as superfluous for
some reason.
