Jim,
I have chosen not to get mails because it fills my inbox too much - instead I check groups.io when needed, e.g. for this thread /g/nanovna-users/topic/trace_format_options/95263276
This way I get messages up to the minute.

Sure - but there are people (like me) who use email as their modus operandi. I'd rather read and delete or save. It's just habit, and "not on time" delivery does kind of disrupt that. It's more of a push model than a pull model.

It's just a personal preference. Everyone has their own workflow that works for them.

I moderate another mailing list (for Tesla Coilers, as it happens), and I'd rather get the push from the list so that I can respond in a timely way. If I'm busy, when I check my mail (which I do fairly frequently), I'll see it.

If it were pull, I'd have to remember to go periodically check. I found that if you've got a bunch of disparate places to check, it's nicer to have the notifications come to one place (my email client, in my case).

But, as I say, it's a workflow preference.

Alan,
This also applies here, but if the first post is visible to others, the TO also sees it and can post unmoderated afterwards.

Re: Group email delivery [was: trace format options]

It¡¯s quite possible that some members are on moderation and it can take time for the moderators to respond if they¡¯re busy elsewhere. This is particularly the case for new members. Most groups set new members to Moderated until their 1st post has been seen.

Why do you ask for help and do not care about the reaction?

Re: trace format options

Paul,
You can select from many formats now, including swr.
Select the "Display" menu, then select Trace" to make sure Trace 0 is
selected. Then go "back" to the Display" menu and select "Format S11
(REFL)". This brings up the format options. Select the SWR item, it will
show a checkmark.
You will then see SWR on the yellow Trace 0.

Hi Michael,

1) Have you previously written to that card or is it the first time.
(I.e., compatibility)

2) Was the card in the slot when you powered up or did you insert it with
power on?
(Best to insert and remove with no power.)

3) When you read the card from your computer do you always reject the card
electronically before removing it?

Hope it gets resolved for you.

General advice, Ken G3YKI, identify who you are responding to correctly! Just for your information, I know this wasn't directed to me but there could be a great number of people called Paul who could be subscribed to this group and all will be scratching their heads at seeing your post hit their inbox!

General advice, and please do not be offended, Paul.
If you have a long story, divide it up into several shorter sentences. It will be easier to get your message across and you will find it helps you to consider the problem more clearly yourself.

Re: SD CARD "FAIL TO WRITE"

If r93 is a 10 ohm resistor, try shorting r93.

Re: SD CARD "FAIL TO WRITE"

Most likely need to use a different card. Some are not compatible.
Search the messages here for SD card to see what has been shared by others
on this topic.
