Re: NanoVNA-Saver 0.1.3 MAC
Hi John - Great! If you would try, in Terminal: # with nanoVNA powered off, enter: ioreg -p IOUSB -l -w 0 | grep "USB Product Name" > without # then power on nanoVNA and enter: ioreg -p IOUSB -l -w 0

Re: Getting NanVNA-saver compiled on OpenSuse Linux
I see that you linked it, rather than put the content on there. I retract my comment :-) Though I still think it should be made into a wiki page that can be edited. -- Rune / 5Q5R [email protected]>

Re: Getting NanVNA-saver compiled on OpenSuse Linux
I would normally consider it quite rude if someone were to re-post content I wrote on a wiki without my permission. That's why I asked Wes to put it there himself. -- Rune / 5Q5R

That is my conundrum for SDR with a loop antenna, which needs low impedance for wide bandwidth, but baluns to drive coax from it without killing antenna bandwidth appear themselves doomed to low

Hi Wes, thank you very much for writing this guide! I think you should consider putting it on the wiki for this group, so other users will have an easier time finding it! -- Rune / 5Q5R

Re: NooElec 1:9 balun #test-jig
Oristo, It is my understanding that |Z|50:200 does not work the same as |Z|12.5:50 for a broad bandwidth on the same transformer. To get the broad bandwidth, the primary on a transmission line

Getting NanVNA-saver compiled on OpenSuse Linux
Ok, so, NanoVNA-saver works under Ubuntu, RedHat/RHEL/CentOS, whatever.? Instructions are available, which is nice if they fit your needs. But I don't use those distros, for a lot of reasons but

Re: NanoVNA-Saver 0.1.3 MAC
Hi, mine is working fine under Catalina 10.15. NanoVNASaver found the USB port immediately when the VNA was connected and I just clicked to connect to it. Good Luck -- John (VK2JON)

As most will fit 1N4148 or similar Si diodes the correction should be closer to 0.7V

Re: I added copper shields and it didn't turn out as expected ...
Here's another try. I just put shielding around the outside and not over the top. I improved both traces a little, see the picture - top is the "old" shields and bottom is the new try on shields. CH0
