Re: Very accurate phase and frequency measurement using the nanoVNA-H4 HW
First impressions ----------------------- I loaded FW version 1.2.00-199 into my -H4 today and took it for a test drive. It would only boot occasionally and screen stayed dark most on most tries. I

Re: NanoVNA-H4
Recent shipments of the -H4 are using the Chinese clone chip so you want the MS version. Check the label on the back of the device to see if it is marked MS. Latest FW is version 1.2.19 available at

Re: Measuring common mode choke impeedance and reactance
Something to keep in mind, and was briefly discussed on this list several months ago - nano has "common ground" connecting both ports, and CMC usually does not. Calibration does seem to compensate for

Re: nano vna small one is it the F
Increase scale divisions to 2, or 5, or 10 - whatever is needed to bring the display into visibility, down from the top of the screen. It's like trying to read a 10 volt voltage with the voltmeter set

Re: H4 Shielding?
If your Nano came with 2 SMA cables like mine did, try the other one. It sounds like maybe the shield connection in yours is bad. -- Doug, K8RFT

Re: Freeze after upgrade. NanoVNA-H
You cannot load the H4 firmware on an H device - it wont work. You need to use the firmware with just -H in the filename (same version number ok). If yours is really a -H rather than a -H4, I would

Re: Freeze after upgrade. NanoVNA-H
The si5351 chip has failed so you need to replace it or buy another NanoVNA. si5351 are scarce so you may have to use the Chinese clone version of this chip. Roger

Freeze after upgrade. NanoVNA-H
I bought this NanoVNA-H almost a year ago and it has always come up with "si5351 init Failed" Error. Yesterday I decided to see if a firmware upgrade would sort out the error. I no longer have the

Re: Measuring common mode choke impeedance and reactance
Almost two years ago, I posted several tutorials to this group indicating how to measure both parameters. Those procedures should be in the archives in this group. Dave - W0LEV [email protected]>

Measuring common mode choke impeedance and reactance
Hi all, I wondered if there was a guide somewhere I could read showing me how to measure the Impeedance and Reactance of Common Mode Chokes. At this point in time I'm testing my chokes using S21 Gain

Yes it¡¯s the small plastic with rocker so it¡¯s the H I had this problem before for swr readings What should my scale divisions be set to My Elad shows my swr as a bit high, but won¡¯t let me key

Did you do a full calibration of the NanoVNA (for your frequency range)? My 3+ year old, unshielded clone works fine (for HF antennas, anyway). -- Doug, K8RFT

Re: nano vna small one is it the F
The Hugen -H/H4 firmware (or DiSlord FW) is not compatible with the Deepelec NanoVNA-F. There are significant hardware differences not the least of which is the screen resolution. You really need to

Greetings, I am curious about the route cause of the antenna VSWR measurement failure. As I understand it the internal missing shield problem (associated with the clones) just reduced the dynamic

Re: nano vna small one is it the F
Hugen made the -H, not the -F. The "F" has a 4.2 inch screen and a metal case. (I have both.) You could try installing a new firmware update, or do a full re-calibration. " my reading are all stuck
