Re: Proper way to measure cable length
You can only get a coarse idea of the length if you don't know the velocity factor. If you set the velocity factor to 1 (100%), you will get the electrical length of the cable, which will always be

Re: Proper way to measure cable length
What velocity factor would you use to measure the physical length of a cable when you don't know the cable type? Pat

Re: Is there a known ch0 input protection mod? #problem #nanovna
Definitely not TVS because it can prevent RF overdrive according to the datasheet's "Power output vs. power input" graph. Diode based RF limiters utilize PIN diodes in order to minimize distortion.

Re: Help needed installing new firmware
David, On the early firmware versions you must short the BOOT0 pad to the VDD pad with a jumper at powerup to get into DFU mode. You can remove the jumper once the unit starts up. I think it goes to

Re: Cannot Save screenshots to microSD card
Gene, I find the screen dump to the SD Card is about 300K, S1P and S2P files are between 20-30K, so using the higher number for screen shots, about 50K files can be stored on a 16GB SD Card. I did the

Help needed installing new firmware
I have an old nanovna, I bought it awhile back but now I need to use it. This software has no config menu item nor is the software version displayed anywhere. I have loaded defusedemo and the driver

Re: Cannot Save screenshots to microSD card
I wonder how will much longer it will before they stop making 16 gig uSD cards, at least in a name brand. San Disk stopped making the 8 gig uSD cards that I used in my Raspberry Pi computers sometime

How many thousands or tens of thousands of images can be stored on a 16 GB card? Is there really a need for more? Get Outlook for Android<https://aka.ms/AAb9ysg> ________________________________ Sent:

I have one SD card not worked on my H4, on exchange card stard answer, but then try switch it in SPI mode stop. I can`t say why, this happen. Card size not related to this. For cards > 32G used ExFat

Re: Cannot Save screenshots to microSD card
http://elm-chan.org/docs/mmc/mmc_e.html sort of implies that it's not so much that the bigger microSD don't have SPI, it's that the way you use it is different. So a firmware fix is possible, maybe.

Re: Cannot Save screenshots to microSD card
Hi Jim, Given that there have been numerous reports of this within the group, I think that is probably the case. Perhaps the developer or one of our super users can verify. Maybe a future FW update

Re: Cannot Save screenshots to microSD card
I too had the 32MB issue on my lite VNA. 16MB and below worked great! Still plenty of room considering the average save in NanoVNA-app is in the KB range.

Re: Cannot Save screenshots to microSD card
I just went through this exercise. I tried a 32GB card but it wouldn't work. However, a 16GB card works very well. Rudy N6LF

Re: Nanovna-H4, looking for a case this will fit in.
Hi, not for NanoVNA H4, but for my NanoVNA V2 Plus4 I have designed and printed this box. I have mounted two SMA to N adapters to solve the weakness and the short operating life of the SMA connectors.

Re: Cannot Save screenshots to microSD card
Apparently, the big SD cards don't support the SPI mode interface, which is what the NanoVNA uses.? Stick with 32GB or smaller. (and, given the existence of counterfeit SD cards, it's always good to

All of my antennas have a static discharge at the feed point. I would recommend them. AD5X has a couple of excellent articles on the subject: <http://www.ad5x.com/images/Articles/Static%20Bleed.pdf>
