What is the max frequency set? I cannot do 2000MHz (v0157, H4 108fw).Do you mean the "bandwidth" settings Igor ? If so, that is not the scan frequency, that is the baseband bandwidth, which can be set to 10Hz to 4000Hz .. NOT MHz The baseband bandwidth is the bandwidth seen by the VNA at each scan spot frequency as it scans across the scan range. The higher the baseband bandwidth the faster the VNA scans, so low bandwidth settings make the VNA scan very slowly. |

Thank you DiSlord, you are the best. You have really done impressive upgrades! I'm new to this firmware so got questions :-) Appart from saving the params to card, is there a feature to take screenshots saved in card too? |

read this postThanks DiSlord, I see how to change the date/time in the post you mention. Is it required to perform any other type of manual command and initialization from the console prior to use the newly flashed firmware ? |

Add anothes screenshot 30dB up to 2.7GHz
I think it very good perfomance for H4 PS i not good in hardware, but possible need change filter to AIC ADC for get better results |

While test 192k ADC i found interesting thing
Can you check work your H4 up to 2.7 GHz in different modes vs this firmware? PS i see good results up to 2GHz, but and to 2.7GHz results not bad. see screenshot 1-2.7GHz vs 40dB attenuator 1-2GHz vs 60dB attenuator PS also fix some bugs, made startup more safe, BW show update after console command PS 192k ADC code upload to git, but not enabled |

Re: NanoVNA firmvare, compiled by DiSlord

Hi,
Got a H4. Managed to get and solder the proper SD card part based on DiSlord's hint on what to buy. Also soldered the required 32.768KHz osc. My previous version is the latest release from Hugen's github. And now I have flashed the new version from DiSlord. A few questions 1. After flashing the new firmware, is it required to perform any type of manual command and initialization from the console commannds ? Obviously the previous calibrations are not valid anymore. What do I need to clean ? 2. What type of SD cards should I use, is there any recommendation on size or brand/type ? 3. How can I enter the date/time ? 4. Is there any document that describes the new functionality or is there anyone that can give a small synopsis, a brief of additions? Any help is appreciated. 73, Christos SV1EIA |

ok, I can set for example 1500MHz or 2000MHz but it disconnects the H4 from serial, it also offers to save the .bmp file when clicking on Scan. |

What is the max frequency set? I cannot do 2000MHz (v0157, H4 108fw).
Also the BW - sometimes it takes over what has been set in H4, once it overwrites the H4, not sure I understand it how it should work. |

I wonder whether the SA612 mixer's clock level (from the SI5351 output) is intentionally so high (3.3Vpp) to get a lot spectral mess out of it. From my experience the max is 0.2Vpp with SA/NE602/612 when driven from an external source. |

You can add DFU mode flash firmware :) DFU SE demo sources is openI already have, all the code has been in there from the beginning, I just haven't finished it and added the "upload firmware" button, it would accept .dfu, .hex and .bin files. |

Or execute external DFU program vs options (it more easy)

Send command 'reset dfu' and flash, it allow more easy update :) |

up to 100MHz si5351 use fixed PLL (32*26MHz = 832MHz) mode and fractional divider for set output frequency, noise depend from how big PLL freq
From 100-150MHz used fractional PLL multiplier and constant divider = 6 (PLL at result 600-900MHz) From 150-900MHz used fractional PLL multiplier and constant divider = 4 (PLL at result 600-1200MHz) As can see fractional PLL mode - more noise (also you can see spike near 150MHz on switch, after little less noise and after more up) After 300MHz used 3 harmonic After 900MHz used 5 harmonic And so on |

Anyway, might be time to move PC software diskushuns to it's own thread rather than this one (this one was meant for the firmware), this ones getting a bit big and cluttered.

I've added a simple bandwidth edit box (for now at least) so as the bandwidth can be set to ones deepest desired number - so long as it's with in range of cause, which it will tell you if it isn't. |
