Re: CH0 LOGMAG and CH1 LOGMAG after CAL RESET (with no calibration)
Cross-talk will change, but better than none. FWIW, CH1 precision is less critical; I use uncalibrated 50 Ohm BNC with SMA adapter.

Re: usb controled rf generator.
As an alternative to mixing and LPF for lower RF, grab an eBay AD9959 board: https://www.eevblog.com/forum/rf-microwave/all-you-need-to-know-about-the-chinese-ad9959-ebay-board/msg2205405/ .. and

Re: CH0 LOGMAG and CH1 LOGMAG after CAL RESET (with no calibration)
I have only 1 50 O at this point...more on order. I wish that we had a vetted supplier of low cost terminators. I can do one port at a time if that is useful. Not sure when to expect the others...have

Re: usb controled rf generator.
I think such filters add more cost than starting with sinusoid-generating chips, e.g. /g/nanovna-users/message/5979

Re: usb controled rf generator.
Hi Oristo A square wave can be expressed as an infinite number of odd harmonic sinusoidal signals. Thus, a LPF a bit above the fundamental frequency can do the job. Bo

Re: edelay vs ELECTRICAL DELAY and other fun

Hi Larry - That can be scripted using my Python utility with multiple scanraw invocations, but current issues are measurement noise and repeatability.

Re: CH0 LOGMAG and CH1 LOGMAG after CAL RESET (with no calibration)
Please do, with 50 Ohms directly terminating CH0 and also CH1 The request was for gathering statistics on terminated values before calibration. Yes, in the context of being calibrated (with 50 Ohms @

Re: CH0 LOGMAG and CH1 LOGMAG after CAL RESET (with no calibration)
Nothing...QRP simply asked for RESET readings, so I figured that both ports should be left completely open. I don't know why the request was made, and I am pretty new to all this... Originally part of

Doh! instead of a script looping that 100 times into 'x100': ch "scanraw 1 100000 0 100 1" >sr100 .. but this yielded different statistics .. as did repeating that after 'pause' Another repeat, still

Oristo & Rune, Here is an interesting HP application note. Refer to pages 7 & 8 for explanation on using different scan steps on specific segments.

Depending on the firmware you load the uncalibrated uncorrected S11 and S21 make little or a bit sense. Unless you want to understand the calibration process do not look at uncalibrated and

The SMD 50 ohm loads arrived today. They measure 51.15 ohms each (I screwed through connectors in to make sure the cap was making firm contact with the barrel) which is about 2.3% out. I guess they
